And I can't live like that

by

Sharon Johnson

You were the image I fell asleep to everynight
My memories were not ones that I remembered
There were moments that I could have lived in forever

Then all rushed back to me
waking me from a deluded fantasie
of how I hoped things would be

And I can't live like that

Always wondering what will happen next
Perhaps I like things unchanged and my life unmoved
Always aware of things in my path

I love you
that is no lie
But
I can't live like that

Destiny called but it wasn't for you
It called to tell me
My life was never misleading

And you were the one thing I could never say "no" to
Until now
You were my infinate power
my whole sanity
while I drowned in your vanity

And I can't live like that

These Days

by

Sharon Johnson

I have fallen apart so many times
with no understanding or reason why
but these days are getting so much worse than I ever expected
and I am finding it hard to hang on
to what is left of my affection.
I want nothing more than for you to make the first move
nothing more than you to say something cruel
Cause these days are getting so long and straining
and the life you are living is getting quite draining.
