Hello !

by

Alma Jeffers

Hello !
Hello, Hello, Hello,
Words that were spoken
when I met this fello.
Eyes of blue, His hair
was golden yellow.
When He smiled at me
I felt like a bowl of jello!
I fell in love
He makes me feel oh so mellow!

Not By Chance

by

Alma Jeffers

Now it wasn't by chance
that in my life I found romance.
It was just another way that Jesus knew
to make my life to be more enchanced.
My love, my love, my little fancy pants,
only with you, through my life I shall dance.
Now my Darling until death do we part,
You know how to light my flame,
with me you know how to spark.
Jesus knew my lonely heart,
that's why He sent you to me
my Man named lark.

When Johnny Came Marching Home

by

Alma Jeffers

I received a call today that Johnny was coming home.
There were giving no details over the telephone.
I was happy, overwhelmed with joy,
my Johnny was coming home.
The Family all gathered together with Friends and Neighbors
A big party was set into motion.
Johnny came marching home today in body,
his spirit now roams, searching for answers.
When Johnny came marching home today,
I could feel my own heart pass away.
When Johnny came marching home today,
my world changed, but I still allow God to have His way.

Going !

by

Alma Jeffers

It won't matter what day,
it won't matter what time.
No matter what I am doing,
or where I am doing it,
when my time comes to go, I'll be gone.
It won't be in a cassion,
nor will it be in a bar.
When I go my Children will be proud,
for they know my daily routine.
I would never think of my God
calling me from such sinful places.
I will look upon His face,
and absorb His Amazing Grace.
When your time has come to go
Where will you be found?

Forever

by

Alma Jeffers

Forever throughout eternity
my love for you, will remain the same.
Seasons come and seasons go,
I 'll not change! My love for you will remain the same.
If you should fall upon a falling star,
I'll know where you are.
I am you rock of all ages, there's no gap!
If you need a friend, call on me,
my child I'll set you free.

Timed Dreams

by

Alma Jeffers

Who would have ever thought
that you would grow up to live
the dreams that once were mine.
Who would have ever thought
that those dreams would mean more
to you than I do.
Once you said Sister's are for ever,
and I'll always be here for you.
Who would have ever thought
you would wear your head up in the clouds?
Who would have ever thought?

WHAT IF?

by

Alma Jeffers

WHAT IF YOU DON'T WAKE UP IN THE MORNING?
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
WHERE WILL YOU BE?
WHO WOULD YOUR SOUL BEHOLD FIRST?
WOULD IT BE SATIFIED?
WOULD IT THIRST?
WHAT IF YOU PUT JESUS FIRST?
YOUR SOUL WOULD BEHOLD HIM
AND YOUR SOUL WOULD NEVER THIRST.

Tap Feet

by

Alma Jeffers

Although my mind tells my feet to tap,
I'd rather just lay and take a nap.
Although I rise and shine each morning,
I end up yawning before the day is done.
When we argue he calls me hun,
only because he feels he won!
Now he likes to lay in the sun,
while I like to live in the Son.
Come on feet start tapping!
