War

Across the mountains and barren plains
through snow and sleet and hail and rain
weary soldiers struggle on
forever wishing they had not gone
unwillingly risking their lives
forced into the Army by a bunch of lies
the government pits us against our brothers
in these long and bloody struggles
falling and dying
brave men crying
some only 18 years old
with no memories left that they wish to hold
what else is to be said about our leaders
who are just a bunch of cowards and cheaters
who are sitting there safe and warm
while soldiers are falling--blood soaked and torn
the Constitution sends children off to fight
killing them off through day and through night
if this is the law then what is to be said
about our government who paints young souls red?
