The Constitutors

by

Greg Hurst

We follow
they lead
They ask
we respond
Such prophesy they promise
yet we do not understand
They call on our conscience
yet we do not understand.

We listen
they direct
They plead
we obey
"A lifetime of good times"
and yet we recieve none
"All things are provided"
and yet we receive none.

dream

by

Greg Hurst

Slowly they rise and get from their bed,
slowly reality rears its ugly head.

This new day, just another day,
a pause, till the night,

When till it is the morrow,
dreams can take flight.

When till it is the morrow,
dreams can take flight.
