Obama Will You Print Me a Dollar

by

Jeff Hoover

Not long ago I was full of hope, life was good, and everyone had a home.
I came home at night after a long journeys flight, but then I was never alone.
I was raising a family, volunteering, and contributing anyway I could.
I did my job, paid my bills, and all those things I should.

I had a home, mowed the yard, and even learned how to grout.
I had a home, payments were hard, why didnít you bail me out?
I had investments and credit cards, the American way no doubt.
I had investments, they fell hard, why didnít you bail me out?

I had a new car, all waxed up,
Colleagues thought I was great,
Paid my bills, I said Yup!
I had all the breaks.

Now you said it was time for a change, you were the future, and promised we would walk taller.

Please, I just want to feel special again, Obama will you print me a dollar?
