He came rushing through the night,
leaping from hill to mountain.
Seeping through in fervid flight,
blood menstruating from his torn implosion.
Swollen limbs a contorted sight
coming down a fallen angel.

Devilish the night began,
The raid went wrong and gave way to flight,
The wind pounded his very being,
upon the ground his body bleeding.

Hounded by dogs, wretched, sniffing.
lying still, he held his breath.
He lay tight lipped fearing beating,
lest life give way and enter death.
