Where are you?

by

Melinda Hall

In the garden as I wait,
Wait for the unknown,
As I love it's not enough,
As I dream of the rose to bloom,
Bloom as a fluster,
Clusters in the sky,
Clusters of nothing,
Nothing but things left to die,
I want thee to call.. call on me,
As the comfront,
Of life and love

Him

by

Melinda Hall

As I look I see the darkness,
The shadows in your eyes show me,
You are a bird,
A bird that can't fly,
A bird with burdens,
Clipped wings is what you have,
you have been told how high to fly,
You show me love,
You try to show you care,
It is hard to understand,
I hope one day I can help set you free,
Like you were meant to be,
Free to fly,
Free to soar,
To reach new heights,
New heights at the top,
The top is where you belong,
You belong way up,
As high as the clouds,
Where you deserve to be,
New heights,
With a new beginning,
Where you... Belong

Inside

by

Melinda Hall

Inside,
Inside,
The girl who once loved,
The girl I used to be,
That all changed,
When everything turned on her,
Everyone,
Those fools who didn't know,
Those fools who did,
ALl came together to hurt me,
Only because they didn't know,
Now the girl with dreams,
Dreams to become someone,
No longer longs to be happy,
No longer longs to dream,
Dreams now kept inside,
Now noone will know,
If they had only knew...
What was inside

Garden

by

Melinda Hall

The fruit in the garden,
Stands still,
The grapes on their vines,
The peaches on their trees,
No one knows what is in their heads,
or if they can even think,
But watch them,
Watch them as they grow,
If you watch you will learn a lot,
You see you don't have anything to say to prove a point,
I think you have proved yours,
You lied to me,
I can see that,
I am not stupid,
I try to trust,
I really do,
But what can I do,
When there is no me and you,
I tried to stay,
For so so long,
I tried,
It is over now,
Go back to the silent world,
The world like the fruit in this garden lives

Listen

by

Melinda Hall

No one listens,
No one at all,
They say I'm too young,
They say I don't know,
But I do...
That is what they don't understand,
They don't understand that I am a person too,
Not sloppy seconds,
Because of my age,
They think they can judge me,
Age is only a number,
And they are wrong,
Wrong in what they do,
Wrong in what they say,
I know,
I know what is going on,
I'm not stupid, I have common sense,
I just wish that someone would listen,
Anyone,
Someone,
Would just listen,
To my side

Time

by

Melinda Hall

As my time here slowly fades,
No one can tell me right from wrong,
Just like this sad song in my soul,
Tell the truth,
It has to come out sometime,
Love wishes slowly die,
Wilt like a rose without water,
The petals turn black and crisp,
My soul is like those petals,
Black and fragile,
Warnings around for it can break,
Saddness that I let you down,
We made a deal,
I can't stick with,
So as I die,
This is my will,
As I leave this world to stand still,
In the garden of life,
My will to inform you,
I died as a promise,
A promise strong and true,
That I couldn't keep with you,
The burning in my eyes,
As the tears start to flow,
I want to let you know,
I love you so,
A promise that I couldn't keep,
That together we would stay strong,
Strong from head to feet,
I am sorry but I must go,
and show the world, I died inlove

Innocents of Love

by

Melinda Hall

Innocents,
Life sets still,
Love for one,
One and two,
Three and four,
Go out the door,
As the making of happiness begins,
Soft and soothing,
Kisses sweet and hugs so tight,
I am glad now that I put down that knife,
Knife that was with me,
When I was locked in the room called depression,
That knife was my only true friend,
It never hurt me unless I wanted it to,
All because of someone I cared about,
As much as you,
You teach me so many things,
In the dark as our eyes close,
together forever,
Love never dies,
It grows or stands still,
As I find the urning,
The urning thta myself,
I must not kill

The Rose

by

Melinda Hall

The rose that will soon lie on my grave,
The blood surrounding my body,
The blood running from my wrist to my fingertips,
The blood oozing from my head, staining my blonde hair,
As my rose of life slowly falls on to my heart,
The thorns stick slowly, painfully, into my heart,
As the blood gushes out of my heart and runs down as slow as my life is fading,
It drips onto my candle of light,
The flame slowly dies,
As the wax drips onto my soul it hardens around it,
As I slowly die inside,
I look at the knife, then to the sky,
It hurts to breathe,
I start to hope the pain, sorrow, grief, regret, and suffering soon die out,
There won't be a curtian fall,
My life is just going to slowly, fade to blue,
This play is about over,
As my eyes slowly close,
I think of how my life used to be,
When I used to be happy,
Suddenly the last breath of my life is taken,
The ugliness of this object lying on the ground is gross,
The object that used to blossom,
The object that used to be...
A Rose

Love

by

Melinda Hall

Love
Steamy, hot, love.
Gushing through your body at the sight of that someone, the true one, the one and only...
Hurt
Pain, sorrow, hurt.
What that someone does to you for no reason, no fault, no regret...
People
Someone, sometimes the one, sometimes not.
People that cause the pain, the hurt, the heartbreak...
Fools
Yourself for trusting them

The class room

by

Melinda Hall

Silence,
Directions are given,
Everyone listens,
To what is being said,
The nervousness,
Not looking through the books,
or at the papers,
As the test begins

Thanx Lies

by

Melinda Hall

You call me a fool for sticking by your side,
The more I stud it,
I guess I was,
When I look back and see what you done,
I notice,
I notice alot,
I notice thta I knew,
I knew but I still loved you,
I stood by your side,
I guess you didn't love me,
You ended it,
You went with her,
I tried to make it work,
I really did,
Don't lie about her,
I know who she is,
I know where she lives,
I'm barely hanging on now,
You've destroyed me,
I wanna die,
When you left you took my heart and soul,
You cracked my heart like an egg,
You burned my soul like wood in a bond fire,
I hope you are happy,
I hope you really are,
I know you knew what you were doing to me when you done it,
Your not sorry,
You don' even regret it,
You used me,
Thanks,
Don't try to lie out of it,
I thought you were the one,
Well, now there is no us,
Thanks,
For what you did to me,
Thanks, for breaking my heart,
Thanks for scrambling my life,
I'm crying inside,
No one can hear me scream,
They can only see the scars on the outside to what you have done,
Thanks lies,
Painful lies,
Hurting lies,
Lies that kill,
Lies that torture souls,
Lies that destroy lives,
Really, Truly, Thanks lies,
Now lies we must depart,
I need to move on,
I have to,
I can't look back,
If I do you will be stuck in my head once more,
Get out of my head,
Get out of me,
Get out of me lies,
Lies that you cared,
Lies that you loved,
Lies that you couldn't even fit in the oceans,
Lies that shall not go away,
Thanks Lies

Halloween

by

Melinda Hall

Halloween Night,
The friend,
The hurt,
The death of a little boy,
Eight years of age,
Him my friend also,
Not as close as her though,
Her eyes,
Filled with tears,
The dam that used to hold back the tears broke,
Flowing down her cheeks as she holds her cousin,
Stareing at the boy on the road,
She waited,
And waited,
Waited for some news of who it is,
Waited and waited some more,
Finally they said his name,
The eight year old boy wasn't only a good friend,
but her cousin,
As well as my own

Between Two

by

Melinda Hall

The love, between two people,
The wishing,
The happiness,
The greatfulness,
Going through it all together,
Never alone,
The sparkle,
The eye connection,
You know your meant to be together,
Meant to be one,
Then comes the sorrow,
The grief,
The carelessness,
The lies,
Splitting two ways,
Never to see each other again

The Real Me

by

Melinda Hall

No one knows,
No one knows the truth,
The real me,
The pain behind it all,
The pain behind me,
The grief, the sorrow of that one cold night,
The night she died, the only one that cared,
Died right before me,
Took her three years,
But now she is out of her pain,
The pain of this sad sorry world,
I lay there happy for her, sad for me,
I feel so trapped,
The sickness,
The pain,
Then the disease,
No one can feel this pain,
No one knows...
The real me

Me

by

Melinda Hall

Depression is me,
With no depression there is no me,
With no me there is no life,
With no life there is no feeling,
Feeling is everything

Ruined

by

Melinda Hall

Ruined,
Life,
My life,
The saddness,
The grief,
The hatred,
Wishing to grow anew,
The ugliness,
The gruesomeness,
The carelessness,
Lies,
The happiness,
The hyperness,
The coolness,
The people,
The life,
Friends,
None because you can't trust anyone

Depression

by

Melinda Hall

Depression,
The hurt and pain of depression,
The sorrow,
The guilt of what I am feeling,
All the depression,
Lonelyness, Carlessness,
All in the painful art of depression,
Pain of lies,
Pain of the truth once it is told,
All the pain,
All the scars,
All the deaths of people like me,
People that once cared,
People that were once happy,
All the deaths each day from this disease,
The disease of which there is no escape,
The disease of depression,
All the wishing on cold lonely nights,
All the hoping,
All the wishing and hoping, death would come upon one's self before they have to face another sunrise,
Anew dawn,
The wishing that one won't have to look in the mirror the next morning,
The mirror that seems broken,
The mirror that no one can heal,
All the pain,
All the hurt,
All the scars in one's lifetime,
All cause by depression

Tell it real

by

Melinda Hall

It's to late,
For what you promised me,
The promises you broke when you left me one day,
You say you love me but I'm not sure,
I try to say goodbye,
It's to late,
Because all the promises you chose to break,
YOu said you loved me,
But it is to late,
Yu chose to hurt me,
I pick up the pieces,
I can move on,
I am strong,
I put up with it on long cold nights,
It broke me in two,
But I hate you now,
For putting me through all of the depression,
Nothing you said was true,
None of it real,
YOu don't even care,
Tell me the truth,
Tell it real,
You never meant a word of it,
Straighten the lies,
Tell it to me real,
You never cared,
Yu never worried about anything but yourself,
So where do I go from here,
Tell it real,
I love you with all I had,
To bad you couldn't return the favor,
I said I love you and what do I get but put through your sh**,
I hate this,
I hate you,
I'm so young,
You ruined my hopes,
You ruined my dreams,
I tried to tell you no,
You never listened,
I hope you die,
I hope you rot,
and I won't this twice about it when I put a gun to my head,
I won't think twice with the knife about the words you said,
Because you didn't...
Tell it real

Poems

by

Melinda Hall

Poems are like the sky,
Sometimes they are soft, calm, and lovely,
but at times they can be as rough as a thunderstorm,
The soft clouds are like the sweet words,
The dark clouds as the bad,
The love in the beauty of the sky,
A baby blue,
It turns to pink as the sun starts to set,
As the soft sky fills with black,
The stars represent the dreams of sleeping people,
The meaning,
The soft colors,
No harm,
Like the sky

Trees

by

Melinda Hall

The trees set alone,
With love and glee it watches,
The rest of the world

Sun

by

Melinda Hall

The sight of the sun,
Pretty generosity,
Soft it sets at night

Clouds

by

Melinda Hall

The clouds in the sky,
Soft with angels sittng on them,
They watch us with glee

A song

by

Melinda Hall

Looking down the road,
sitting on the porch,
holding my memories,
keeping you close

reading a book,
playing my guitar,
noone can understand,
why I'm dying inside

I'm thinking about you,
and I can't stop,
I've been thinking,
For far too long,
is he there for me,
or is this a game,
is he here forever,
or
is this the end

staring off,
when i'm hanging with my friends,
crying every night,
before I goto bed

looking for you,
on the streets everyday,
getting distracted so bad,
I can't consentrate

I'm thinking about you,
and I can't stop,
I've been thinking,
For far too long,
is he there for me,
or is this a game,
is he here forever,
or
is this the end

are you here, boy can't you see
what you're doing is slowly killing me,
other guys have their eues set on me,
But your the only one I see

I'm thinking about you,
and I can't stop,
I've been thinking,
for far too long,
is he there for me,
or is this a game,
is he here forever,
or
is this the end

I understand your trying to take your time,
but moving this slow is killing my mind,
questions pop up inside my head,
am i good enough
or will this love die

I'm thinking about you,
and I can't stop,
I've been thinking,
for far too long,
is he there for me,
or is this a game,
is he here forever,
or
is this the end

come on boy one more chance,
do you want to be my man,
if not I will understand,
move on and find someone who can,
do what you want,
do what you can,
are you the better man,
playing with my mind,
can't you see,
you're doing a great job at killing me,

I'm thinking about you,
and I can't stop,
I've been thinking,
for far too long,
is he there for me,
or is this a game,
is he here forever,
or
is this the end

I guess it is the end

Tonight

by

Melinda Hall

Is hurt good?
Is hurt bad?
Tonight I'm hurting,
Acting happy,
Trying to love.
What is love?
Who loves who?
Who's what is what?
Pain.
Is life supposed to be this way?
Is this normal?
What is normal?
Who is to judge?
All I know is,
Tonight,
I'm hurting.

Confused

by

Melinda Hall

Why am I done this way?
What is wrong with me?
What did I do wrong?
I come back year to year,
All because I can be who I want to be,
And the people love me,
They don't treat me wrong here.
I am so..
Confused

Help

by

Melinda Hall

Help
I am trapped again
Stuck
with nothing to do but spin
Life
it's rough but I deal
Pain
is all I know
Why
is life so hard
How
Can I fix it?
What
is wrong with me
I
need help

At Last

by

Melinda Hall

At last I'm at the end
Yes, I have made friends
Friends that I hope to see
Even some I'd rather be
Tight and close
Noone knows
How you can feel like you have known someone
your whole life
When you have lived with them only a week
Sometimes this thought makes me weak
I don't trust many
So if I trust you,
You are lucky
This is so not BULL PUCKY
I know I can be cranky
I know I can be rude
But I put all this to the side
When I'm at Camp Horseshoe

Anymore

by

Melinda Hall

Sometimes people don't realize,
small things hurt too,
Why can't they see this?
Or do they?
Do people even care?
If they hurt someone.
I feel so unwanted
Does Anyone care?
Can they even see?
Or are they blind?
Cause to me, it doesn't matter anymore
If I live or die

Why?

by

Melinda Hall

Why
What did I do,
To put myself in this place,
Although I have been here before..
I don't recognize it
Where have I seen it before
and where is the door
so I can leave

I look left to right
No exit can I see in sight
I hate this place it's scary here
and Its my fault is all i here
What did I do to deserve this
I didn't mean to hurt anyone
Including myself

I look around
I remember this feeling
Why won't it go away?
It hurts so bad
I feel so, empty
Why?

Why can't things happen one at a time?
Instead everything happens at once.
Why?

I know I have seen this place
The faces are clear
but there is no one around

Why?
Why am I in such misery?
What is it about this place?
It hurts so bad..
Why am I here?

I think I know where I am
Inside a black heart
A heart of a person that wants to die
a person that feels empty inside
a person that would rather see the lights of hell
than look in the eyes of anyone

I know where I have seen this place
I am inside myself
Please, tell me why
Why am I hurting?

Everyone says I have the perfect life
the only thing is they aren't inside me
They aren't in my head
They know nothing
they are fools
I hate them
I hate them all
Why do they do this to me?

Pain, of heartbreak
Pain, of trust
Pain of nothing
I am nothing
This is Me...
Why?

Wake up

by

Melinda Hall

Wake up mommy
Daddy is gone
Wake up mommy
you are the only one home
Wake up mommy
I'm no longer here
Come and find me mommy
I don't want to be alone
Help me mommy
Daddy had me
I need you mommy
where are you
I'm alone in the tunnel
Help me mommy..
Why must I be here
Come here mommy
Get me out of here
Help me mommy...
I'm dead

Is it true

by

Melinda Hall

Is it true?
Do you really want to be here?
is it true?
That you love me again?
Is it true?
That we will be together for ever?
Because I don't know
How many more lies
I can take

Tonight, Myself, Me.

by

Melinda Hall

Tonight,
Started with laughter,
Started with smiles...
Tonight,
Started with happiness,
Started with love...
Myself,
I can't live without him,
Yet, I can't live with him...
Myself,
I can't be alone,
I can't stay like this...
Me,
I trusted him,
I couldn't see through the lies...
Me,
I loved him,
Now I must die...

Here

by

Melinda Hall

Here- I am alone
All by myself
I wait...
But- What am I waiting for?
He's not here
Will he ever be?
Or- Am I here
Waiting for nothing
Nothing because I'm here
And- I am alone
