Rainbow

by

Larry Hagie

A Rainbow in my eye
fare champion iris gray.
Shed no tear that I may cry.
Rapt comfort in triste way.

Of better breath that I've enjoyed,
segued moment tailored spent.
And in my heart leaves folly void
that brings now sweet lament.

Echoed captive in my mind.
Cherished- of your smile.
Beckon tenure oft I find
of memories that beguile.

This day a rainbow came and went.
But poignant left sweet mark.
And in it's hue lurked reverent.
Remembrance in the dark.
