Strangers

by

Christi Griffin

The Chance...
I never got the chance to know you
Like I had wanted to know you
I met you in that special way but never got the chance to know the real
you

An Object...
An object is all I was to you
We never got the chance to know eachother because things moved too fast
Too fast to get to know you as more than just an object

Back...
I know I can never step back
Back to take the time to know you
Back to a time where we could have meant more to eachother than just a
night

Change...
Now everything has changed
Changed to the point where I don't think I'll ever get the chance to get
to know the person you really are
Changed so much that after all we've had now I can't even look you in the
eyes

Strangers...
A stranger is all you are to me
And I know a stranger is all you know of me
Hopefully strangers isn't all we'll ever be
