Gypsy's Photo Gallery

off my street

Kate Goldsack

she sits in the alley
a narrow groove of clashing brick and stone,
a stripe of sunlight to lean on
below dangling arms of moss and slime,
no ones walked by her feet today
except a couple of beetles
and straying thoughts,
heading for the gutter

Kate Goldsack

my intelligence is like water
on plastic sheets
gathering in selected puddles
here and there,
and subject to movement
dribbling off the edges
there is never enough to fill my
mental vases
or complete assignments
or to water hungry plantings of queries
its is scatty, shallow water
and it always leaves me thirsty
