Untitled

by

Lauren George

As I sit looking in the mirror
The reflection I see,
Is that of a girl with
the appearance of being carefree.

The mirror reflections do not show
the things going on inside
would make any other run and hide

These feelings are kept so hidden
and because they are so well protected
to anyone on the outside
they are impossible to be detected.

Finding no one to talk to
No one who seems to care
Without someone to lean on
These feelings I myself must bear.

To whoever said this,
That mirror do not lie
you are gravely mistaken
for the truth I know inside.
