Hangover/Turnover

by

Scott M. Gagnon

Today is Wednesday
Day number something hundred and five...that I've breathed.
And sometimes I ask myself...
How many more will I endure.

It is now Wednesday night.
And I lay me down to sleep.
The colors swirl in my head
And creatures that cannot be
Flash by in a frenzied fury.
Warmth...
Pale sweat glazes...
And again I awake.

And as grey fades to day,
I wonder...what will this day bring?
