He Leaves

by

Lysa Fisk

He leaves his bachelor pad,
smelling mildly manly:
freshly bathed, shaved and stocked
with party favors,

eager to visit his favorite
cougarís den, her spiced air
and candlelight, the order
she imposes.

When a man calls and goes,
annoys her as she throws
out the mess he leaves, thinking
"men such slobs"

This morning
she smiles at the evidence,
vowing his will have to go
immediately out the dooró

his discarded Blunt tobacco,
seeds and stems and used condoms.
