Why should I love a lie?

by

Taylor Fisher

I know I shouldn't love you,
but it hurts me not to,
I'm just a foolish girl,
what do you expect me to do?
You keep giving me those seducing stares,
that make me believe you actually care,
One embracement,
One kiss,
puts me in total bliss,
but I know your just a lie,
and I'm used to that type of guy,
Yet, you seemed different,
everything you said you meant,
or so I thought,
and with three words I was bought,
then I felt your deceptions,
and soon realized you were no exception,
to all those other men,
who hurt me because they can,
but why does it hurt me so,
to let you go?
When I have been through this before,
I can't take this anymore,
I know I shouldn't love you,
and it hurts me not to,
but it hurts me even more when I feel love for you.
