Good friday

by

Matthew Farrand

once upon a drabbened day
lightning roars through darkness
and innocence
paid for mine

i look back and
See myself looking,
Stareing ahead to
the place now attained;
Realizing how much
better i could have made today
by making yesterday all
it should have been.

Still, i stare at tomorrow.

with the plodding
