Silently

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

Wandering aimlessly through this ever changing world
Day to day imagining what we could behold

A moment in time
Not so long ago
I see a vision of love never told

Emotions entwined forever
From a single breathless encounter
My thoughts enthralled with his
Much like a wild spirit
To a quiet meadow

A moment in time
Not so long ago
I see a vision of love never told

Fierce passion two of a kind
Helpless anticipation
Forcing us together
Pleasures dwelling in our minds

A moment in time
Not so long ago
I see a vision of love never told

Flame brightly burnt
A song lingering alike
Such Beauty
Four hands weaving together
That danced through the night

A moment in time
Not so long ago
I see a vision of love never told

Finally the tender parting took place
A lasting touch always to embrace
Sweetly a remembrance of our kiss
Two shared spirits
Who silently wish

A moment in time
Not so long ago
I see a vision of love never told

Deceiver

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

Deceiver

Inside the darkness of my mind
I feel nothing
A lie ~
My mind is a deceiver

One shared glance
sends my heart racing
Within
My mind is the deceiver

I feel nothing
The melting is simply a figment
Of the imagination

I see nothing
The large hands that pale mine
Like night falling over day

The eyes that pierce through mine
So gentle and kind

Soft brown waves
That welcome my every breath

I hear nothing
Tender words
That fall on these deaf ears
My mind is the deceiver

My heart steals the emotions
Embracing them
Safely within

One light touch
One tender word spoken
One glance that seems eternal

My mind is the deceiver

Lost Years

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

YEARS LATER YOU LOOK BACK
AT ALL OF THE TIME THAT HAS PASSED
HAPPENINGS THAT COULD NOT BE CONTROLED
BY THE CONTROLER OF ALL TIME
THIS IS HOW I VEIW MY SELF
FROM THE OUTSIDE

YEARS OF TIME NOT WASTED
HOWEVER SOME IN VEIN
SOME JOY
MOSTLY PAIN

REALITY SEEMS TO BE LOST
BY THE MAKE PRETEND
THAT YOU ARE STILL FRIENDS

LIFES LESSONS ALL BOTTLED UP
HAVE RISEN TO THE SURFACE
OF ONE TIRED SOUL
CAN I MAKE IT
I DON’T EVEN KNOW

IT IS LIFES WAY
FOR THE HARD TIMES
TO SEEM TO ALWAYS STAY
AND NEVER GIVING TO SILENCE
NEVER GOING AWAY

FINDING SOMEHOW
FEELING UP TO ONE MORE CHALLENGE
DAY BY DAY
DAY AFTER DAY

BEING MORE STUBBORN THAN LIFE
IS A GIFT BEHELD
HAVING AN INNER STRENGTH
HAVING A BREATH OF AIR
STORED DEAPLY WITHIN

YEARS LATER LOOKING BACK
KNOWING THERE WILL BE
AN EVERLASTING VISION
TO ENABLE MY SENCES TO SEE

Tattered and Torn

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

Tattered and torn he found you there
The cold dark night, hiding your despair
Such strength and will for the life to come
Yet, still gentle through it all

Tattered and torn to your new home you came
A reward from god for your suffering and pain
I prayed for you a simple prayer
For gods help, that you would still be here
In a day or two
Or three or four
Little by little that you could walk
I asked for a miracle
And we received
More that what we could believe

Tattered and torn although a memory away
Safe in my home is where you will stay
Protected by love
I look forward to see
The memories that will erase
The times that will no longer be

Tattered and torn and all alone
To becoming very much loved

My little one
My sweet

Promise to never leave

My Love

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

As a young child, I sat behind a chair
Praying to a God that I knew for certainty was there
Growing older it soon occurred to me
That my spirit was a special one
The world would someday see

Bestowed on me were gifts of grace
Harmony and peace
Morals of the highest source
A deep love for all that I see

I truly love the sky so blue
The amber of the sea
How lovely are the leaves so green
And the bark upon the trees

I long to see the wintertime
The snows so crisp and clean
The springtime next with lingering love
The love you made for me

I thank you my God for all I have
That you have given to me
Most precious of these gifts I hold
In which you have endeared to me ~

My love for life

My love for you

My love for all that I see

Strings to my heart

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

CENTER> Weakened by past circumstance
Yet ready to venture out
Freedom had come to call my name
A new life to come about

It started from a distance
This passion rare but strong
Two hearts knowing fully
This is not where they belonged

Yet they united into a "Friendship"
No promises allowed
Commitments were not mentioned
A silent rule not said out loud

These terms were agreed upon
Knowing no other way would work
Pretending not to notice
The emotions well at work

"No strings" he said
"No strings" she agreed
Just be here by my side
Hold me till the morning comes
Then blow a kiss goodbye

The time had come
As she knew it would
He so easily said, "You’re free"
"Don’t forget," he said
"We agreed"
"No commitment for you and me"

I learned a valued lesson this round
I will never repeat again
"Strings" can appear
When two try to part ~

Especially when
The strings involved
Are those strings
Attached to your heart

Life

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

This insatiable feeling like gravity
Forcefully pulling against will
Like a sort of magnetism
That haunts your every bone
Dwelling in the core of the soul
Painful yet thriving within

Blue Birds

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

Incredible, the sight of them
In their simplicity
Basking in the pleasure
Nature has enlightened them with
Rain falling from the heavens
Creating playful ponds
For such small wonders to bath in

Invisible Vision

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

Why can’t you see me
Standing here next to you
An invisible vision
Screaming for your touch
Overwhelming feelings of loneliness
Missing you so much

Come closer to me
Please don’t back away
Fears revealed _ stay
Come closer to me
Don’t back away
Another lifetimes on its way

Here behind the walls
My gentle spirit calls to you
Begging for you to hear
This creatures lonely cries
You’re ripping my heart and soul
Until it dies

Come closer to me
Please don’t back away
Fears revealed _ stay
Come closer to me
Don’t back away
Another lifetimes on its way

Come to me
Your words echo in my soul
I’ll take your broken heart
And make it whole

Come closer to me
Please don’t back away
Fears revealed _ stay
Come closer to me
Don’t back away
Another lifetimes on its way

Sweet Reprieve

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

Alone with you I find a cover
The weight of emotion bringing me under
Through the words that keep us apart
I find a new start
In solitude it’s where I discover
Your power thunders

Don’t want to be without you
Falling at your feet
Show me constant passion
Erase away defeat

Don’t want to be without you
Falling on my knees
Strip me of the abandonment
Show me sweet reprieve

So I’ll let you see me now
And I’ll pull you to the ledge
Tell me baby where to begin
Before it comes to another end
Gonna be your bridge to fantasy
When reality lies on the other edge

Don’t want to be without you
Falling at your feet
Show me constant passion
Erase away defeat

Don’t want to be without you
Falling on my knees
Strip me of the abandonment
Show me sweet reprieve

So I’ll let you see me now
And I’ll pull you to the ledge
Tell me baby where to begin
Before it comes to another end
Gonna be your bridge to fantasy
When reality lies on the other edge

My Gentle Spirit Friend

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

Moving me with words unsaid
You quickly passed through my life
Barely, scratched the surface
Yet, the knowing of each other
With just a glance_

Actions that never would seem mundane
Now are filled with great emptiness
I turn to look, and you are gone_
But I truly believe
Not for very long

I will look for you my spirit friend
And run into your arms_
For the next time I see you
Words will still be unsaid
Rather filled with joy and love

So thankful I am for meeting you
The guidance of your hand
You shined to me like no other could
My gentle spirit friend ~

Dedicated to Ted Terlalis

You touched my life

Here and Beyond

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

Forever reaching for what seems to be an eternity
Always reaching far from the touch
The distance between two lifetimes

Souls changing dramatically
Like the winds shifting in time
While dismembered fragments of life
Travel along in fulfillment of destiny

Frail emotions, sometimes tears
Always love
Never ending
Energy flowing
Never ending

Possibilities magical
Another dimension feet away
Feel It
Familiar in every way

The Bottom Line

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

All of you think that you know who I am
Every single one of you, looking so closely
Making assumptions
It would certainly surprise you to see the truth
I am angry, sad and have demons
Just like the rest of you
All that happens when you are kind
And you smile all of the time
Is that it becomes expected
A simple look of annoyance
Brings such a reaction from those around you
That you would think a murder was committed
We are raised to believe that we should be
Pure, loving, moralistic and kind
Only to find that once you have reached adulthood
Proud of whom you have remained
Through a life of hell
That those closest to you now say
That you are too serious
Too Intense
That you need to take more risks

I guess what this all boils down to
Is that you have no right to put me down
To make yourself feel more adequate

The bottom-line?

I am who I am, no better than you

And you no better than me

You Spoke of Her

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

I spoke of emotion
You spoke of sensibilities

I spoke of passion
You spoke of her

I do not envy your troubled
Heart imprisoned
You taught me this far too well
And I fear that I now join you

He speaks of emotion
I speak of sensibilities

He speaks of passion
And I speak of you

I Will Miss You

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

You have become a part of my life
This I must tell you so
But the time has come for us to part
And for me to let you go...

There are so many things that I would like to say
Things that I want you to know
Dear Miss Cindy, most of all
Of your love you have always shown

From a gentle touch, to a great big hug
My favorite noodle soup of the day
I’ll never forget swimming with you
And giggling all the way

Please don’t worry that I will forget
The time that we have spent
I’ll treasure each moment
And the bond we shared
Always knowing how much you cared

In time it’s true some memories may fade
But I will always know
That deep down inside
I am a product of your love
And the seeds that you have sewn

And someday Miss Cindy, all will see
That because of our time
And the love you’ve shown
Your light will shine through me ~

Mornings Hollow

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

Do you still long to hear me sing
At midnights lonely hour
Yearning for every breath and word
To trace your bodily shadow
My voice will linger endlessly
Haunting you while you slumber
Fearfully then you will awake
To the anguish of mornings hollow

The Man Who Drinks Alone

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

Let me tell you a tale, a story I say
Of a man who drinks alone
A moment of respite is all he seeks
From the life he lives at home

He would never trade a moment in time
As his love it lasts for life
Yet complacence gives way to light a path
For alter ego to seek the unknown

No judgment or foe found behind these walls
When exaggerated eye is at hand
He comes to life as he sips number three
Feeling like a new man

He then raises his glass as if to say
‘Till next time my dearest friend
I will miss you indeed and our journeys abroad
Cheers to you he said

Slumber

by

Kimberly Ann Dupont

Let your weary eyes half closed
Fall into a slumber
My heartbeat will be the rhythm
When your soul is not at rest
Whispers filling your dreams
While your head lay on my breast

Dream my love, let it be
With stars above so light
Making way as the evening shadows
Begin deep within the night

If you shall stir at midnights moon
Tears of past fear and foe
Seek for the arms that hold you close
A promise of love unknown
