Walk Through That Door

by

Kim E. Duhan

You say you aren't happy
And things aren't working out
You want us to seperate
Your heart is filled with doubt
And it would be better
If I left you alone

you say you aren't happy
things aren't working out
you want us to seperate
your heart is filled with doubt
and it would be better
if I left you alone
so you can find out for yourself
whose heart you really own

but I want you to know
that it won't be easy
for me to walk through that door

You tell me you need time alone
to find out who you are
and that your heart is locked up tight
locked with chains and bars
and you can't give another what you haven't got to give
you want me to walk away so you can learn to live

but I want you to know
that it won't be easy
for me to walk through that door

you tell me you may love again
and yes it might be me
but you can't give me promises
and you can't say what will be
you know I'm hurt and crying
and my heart is filled with fear
but I'll never let you see my silent tears

I want you to know
that it won't be easy
for me to walk through that door
I thought we had a chance
to make love grow...
and now I am walking out your door...
