Fleeting Love

by

Dreamcatcher

I hear your voice
I touch your letters
I see our silent conversations
Yet I do not know you

You are ever present in my dreams
A presence which disappears
If I strive to examine you too closely
Yet I have never seen you

There is a longing deep within me
Empty and unfulfilled
Aching for something that can never be
Yet it is there

Who are you? We are lovers, mentally
But mere strangers physically
In spirit, we are intertwined as one
In life, we are a universe apart
Yet I love you
