Dragons Sleep

by

B.A.Dragoon

Glistening scales,
Rusting teeth,
Are all to be seen of this,
This dark,
Lonesome creature,
The click of steel on steel,
This pile of metal,
Metal slabs begins to stir,
Click,
And a white eye is revealed,
No pupil no colour,
White,
Pure and unadultered,
The beast unfolds from its sleep
its large wings,
That of a bat,
Rise up to the brilliant moon,
White moon,
The colour of shining pearl
on a sheet of black velvet,
Slowly the beast,
This beast of metal rises,
Slowly, Steadily,
Setting off,
Into the night.

Sword

by

B.A.Dragoon

Raised high,
up, up, and up,
Release,
Glittering . . . Shining,
An arc of metal,
tangible,
Yet insubstantial,
Visible,
speed of demons.
