As InThe Days Of The Judges

by

Kent Douglas

The moon now drips apocalyptic blood
as horsemen gallop on the cusp of time,
stampeding t'ward the ancient twilight gloom.
Gaia whispers monist chants, invoking
dread and cataclysmic doom. The Goddess
is alive again. Domini is gone.
Old Pan is loose; the center does not hold
as Mecca's ruthless sword unsheathes its might
and each man does what's right in his own eyes,
in looming dark alive with children's cries.
