Slipping into the cracks of a soul
Parched by the drought of ignorance,
Artists' fingers imprint themselves on spiritual sands.
Legs that doesn't know the difference
Between pain and the urgency of union
Lifts, merely, in routine.
But a choir of words
Long to give song
To their sorry.
Fingers that feel the need to address
The gift for which they were created
Seeks physical permission
To re-charter life;
From misery to unstable joy
For envious seconds.
Heal my unawareness!
Open for me that cliched heaven
And bolt earthiness.
