Christmastime

by

Dottie

Christmastime is drawing near
It's very clear to see
There's joy and laughter in the air
And the smell of the old pine tree.

The stable just went up
In the park the other day
And baby Jesus lay's His head
Upon some brand new hay.

Soft white flakes are falling
They lay upon the ground
They bring us season's greetings
But never make a sound.

Children go out caroling
They go from door to door
In the cold and in the snow
No one could ask for more.

A wreath is hung upon each door
It's there to clearly say
Welcome, all my neighbor's
Have a very merry Christmas day!
