Passing Time

by

Barbara Dilley

A place were worlds have died and vanished,
Babies been created and born, Wars won and lost.

We continue to still laugh and cry.
Struggle and succeed, forget and learn.

We have aged and changed, still we silently wish.
You and I will plan and dream, hurt and heal ourselves.

Speak and listen to others, yet hold true our ideas.
We still search and find, need and want.

Give and take in our travel through this space called time.
How can I love and hate, be joined and apart from you.

Is now not time, this time and that time?
Is not time, the same time, every time and all the time?
