Song Of Sadness

by

Darian-Lee

Laying here in my bed tonight,
I dream of the way things used to be.
I am so alone now that you're gone,
I miss you so dearly.
Remember how we laughed together,
How you promised me forever?
Or that kiss, how long it seemed,
Maybe it was just something that I dreamed.
I smile when I think of the times we shared,
The tender touches showing how much you cared.
And every time that you would cry,
Killing my heart when I never knew why.
Oh, how I miss the sweetness of your voice,
The caress of your hands giving me no choice,
But to fall in love, and feel so free,
To be in love with you, and you with me.
But I have nothing more than to honor you now,
A fallen tear wiped from my brow,
A refreshing memory of how I remember you best,
And this is my own, "Song Of Sadness."
