Angels

by

Helen M. Daly

The angels are singing
What a beautiful song
Their voices hum softly
It is where I belong

I can now see their wings
As they dance on the clouds
The angels are dancing
Their feet donít make a sound

Their faces are amazing
Each one seems to glow
As their eyes sparkle
Just like new fallen snow

I lay awake dreaming
I wish it were me
Dancing with the angels
For everyone to see

Believe

by

Helen M. Daly

Where are you running to?
It may all be in your mind
Take a good look in front of you
Maybe itís your pride

Itís time to look around your world
Just stand still and look ahead
Treasure the things you have right now
How blessed you are my friend

I know that life has caused you pain
Itís important just to know
Tomorrow is a brand new day
And more good days will follow

The ups and downs of life are hard
The hills become difficult to climb
But knowing youíre not alone my friend
Just believe it will take time

Prayers

by

Helen M. Daly

I got down on my knees to pray
My world was falling apart
I did not know what to say
I couldnít find the words to start

I donít know what to do God
I canít do this without your help
Please guide me along my path today
Show me how I need to pray

Sometimes the world seems bright and clear
There are days when itís dark and cold
I feel this way and donít know why
I am here for you to hold

You always seem to light my way
I can feel your loving touch
Youíve keep me safe from all the storms
I love you so very much

We Walk Along

by

Helen M. Daly

We have walked together hand in hand
But yet we walk alone
The silence seems unbearing
For the reasons yet unknown

The whyís and why notís are stifling
I cannot find the words
To express the way I really feel
My mind is just a blur

Sometimes life is rough for us
But yet we forge ahead
We are together hand in hand
We always take our stand

No matter how the clouds may come
I feel so deep inside
That when I see your smiling face
I never need to hide

My love grows deeper each new day
As does our bond so true
I never see the sky this way
Because it remains so blue

Where Is The Sun

by

Helen M. Daly

The day we met the sun came out
It seemed to shine so bright
But as the days passed by
Some things were just not right

The hills became mountains for us
And yet somehow we knew
If we climbed together each day
Our love would get us through

Life sometimes became hard to bear
But we dealt with it hand and hand
For nothing could break our bond
Because together we took our stand

Others may attempt to try
To say it would not last
But we know better each of us
Because our love is so steadfast

Gratitude

by

Helen M. Daly

When life seems hard I look around
And see what others are going through
I have so much to be grateful for
I donít know why Iím feeling blue

Accepting life is sometimes hard
Because things donít go my way
If I can just get through it all
Tomorrow is a brand new day

There are days when the clouds cover the sun
Thatís when life seems hard to take
I know the sun will shine brightly again
It takes a lot of patience to wait

I am blessed I have many people to love
So many that loves me
If I can remember to cherish them in my life
The sun will always be there to see

Please Stay

I just want you to know
I canít let you go
You mean more each day
What more can I say?

I just have to believe
You will be there for me
You are deep in my soul
Iím begging you not to go

I look into your blue eyes
They sparkle brightly at me
I would be lost without you
Please canít you see?

You are deep in my soul
And always will be
Just tell me youíll stay
Always be there for me

Dreams

by

Helen M. Daly

As I lay my head upon my pillow
My eyes begin to close
I feel the warmth around me
My dreams begin to flow

The stars are shining bright outside
The trees stand straight and tall
Nature is asleep for now
I can feel my body fall

The angels are so beautiful
Their wings flutter in the night
The faces of each one is pure
It is such an amazing sight

I know tomorrow will soon be here
The blue skies will be bright
My world will be awake again
I can dream my dreams tonight

Life

by

Helen M. Daly

The moon shines over the water
As the stars twinkle in the sky
I feel the wind blow softly
As a beautiful bird flies by

All Godís creatures begin to sleep
Except for the owl in the tree
Night time is so peaceful
What a wonderful place to be

Sometimes I just donít realize
What God has given me
Just looking around the world
There is so much to see

Itís important to remember
As I look up towards the sky
The world is filled with beauty
I wonít let this life go by

The Angels I See

by

Helen M. Daly

It happened one morning
I donít understand why
My heart started pounding
As I looked at the sky

I could not believe
As I blinked my eyes
There were angels dancing
What a wonderful surprise

How could this be happening?
I wasnít sure what I saw
Their faces were smiling
I was simply in awe

I know miracles can happen
Was this Godís gift to me?
Did he want me to see this?
How blessed I must be

Acceptance

by

Helen M. Daly

We look around and wonder why
Life can be so hard
Our expectations are many
But yet we donít even try

We feel others are at our beckon call
They should do as we say
We forget our flaws are many
Who are we to judge at all?

We stand upon our pedestal
And think we are better than
For those beneath us looking up
They just cannot understand

We forget we are not the one to judge
For why are we so great?
God has made us all the same
We all have the same fate

If we can accept the world around us
Living each day as it comes
Our lives would be much easier
Instead of it seeming so glum

Please Don't Go

by

Helen M. Daly

When the door start to close
I just have to know
Where you will be
I pray youíll come back to me

I believe there is time
For me to show I care
If you give me a chance
I will make you mine

Please come back to me
This is where you are meant to be
My life is always with you
I donít want to set you free

My love is so deep
You are the one for me
Just tell me youíll stay
Please donít go away

The Storm

by

Helen M. Daly

I could feel the storm was coming
The dark clouds rapidly move by
There was a rumble in the distance
As the rain falls from the sky

It doesnít take much time at all
The raindrops fade away
Now the sun peaks through the clouds
What a beautiful day

I can see a rainbow overhead
The colors are very deep
I wonder where the rainbow ends
I wish it were mine to keep

As I take in natures beauty
I can understand just why
The world becomes Godís picture
It makes me want to cry

My Soul Mate

by

Helen M. Daly

She knew the day she saw him
When she looked into his eyes
The time had finally come
It was certainly no surprise

He touched her face gently
No words were needed now
She could feel his tenderness
It was going to work somehow

She had waited all her life
For her soul mate to arrive
He knew too she was the one
They both felt so alive

It was worth the wait they knew
Because for the rest of their life
They would be together forever
They fell in love at first sight

Butterfly

by

Helen M. Daly

I look at the butterfly
As it sits upon a leaf
The colors on his wings are deep
Iíll get closer so I can see

The wings begin to move
It begins to fly away
Then it suddenly stops
I think it is going to stay

It flies up to the tree
And rests up on a branch
I raise my head to see
Itís a beautiful sight for me

If I had one thing to choose
I know what I want to be
I would be a butterfly
Because they are so free
