I & You

by

Warren Curle

The Burning Desires,
The yearning both day and night;
I canít ignore
I feel a passion;
An eternal flame
Aching, crying out, begging for
Thee
The need for that moment;
That tender moment of your lips;
adjoining mine.
The caress of your hand upon my face
the feel of my arms wrapped around you
my fingers gently touching your silken hair.
I cannot fight this feeling anymore:
I donít want to fight it
My white flag is out
To surrender to thee.
I anguish in my own thoughts
I await your terms
For I Long;
To get lost in you
And never Ever return.

Eternal Sleep

by

Warren Curle

Deep Down Below
Wishing not to be known
You yearn for the embrace
Of your sweet love
so far away at home

Staring down the Enemy
The enemy of the day
"Lord, I pray my soul to keep","
You mutter away.

Gazing at the morning red sky
You look to a mate
Quietly asking "WHY"
For so many of your
Friends are forever asleep

God, Country, and Freedom
Seems so far away.
You vowed to bring freedom
But why do so many mothers weep
For those now eternally asleep.

So, this is War!
Youíll give your all!
Praying to God
"Father let me fear not eternal; sleep."
But still more mothers weep;
For those joining the eternally sleep.

LOOK !

by

Warren Curle

LOOK!
It must be said, so I will say it,
We know our friendship cannot be.
The wondrous dream,
They are but a fond memory.
We both knew this day WOULD COME!
Yha; we both care;
BUT I cannot and will not except you as a friend.
Don°¶t argue, don°¶t weep;
Fate, destiny, call it what you will.
Time changes all things,
It has changed us too.
Don°¶t deny it, don°¶t hide from it.
It was fun; it was a giggle, a trip in a time machine;
to a forgotten teenage past. Éļ
Listen up, one more thing.
Let me dry your eyes and make still your lips.
For I must tell you; I must tell you
Your friendship paved the way for something brand new.
So, take my heart and dry your tears,
For I love you!

LOST LOVE

by

Warren Curle

It is time to explain why I miss you.
Whenever I dreamed of our first kiss
The sky grew bluer and the nights shorter
I miss that!
Each time I dreamed of hugging you
My world expanded and dreams became reality
I truly miss that!
Whenever I longed to stroke your long silky hair
I wrote to you.
I desperately miss your replies.
I loved you, you know that.
Alas; you will never be mine
I KNOW THAT

So here is a good bye kiss to you
Iíll long for you FOREVER and a day.

Confusion for thee

by

Warren Curle

Every Day that races by;
My heart aches for thee.
Since the first glimpse
I no longer dare pretend
That I could not fall in love with thee
Your in my heart, your in my soul;
You are so very far from me.
Part of me feel lost when I am not thinking of thee.
I wish I could use a telephone
To tell you; you are beautiful to me.
Gazing at your photo
My passions and heart begins to turn burn like a flame
Never quite knowing if you know
How I burn for thee.
My Mind, Soul and Heart are in a Battle Of Confusion over thee.
Alsa one more glimpse of your photo
Brings them into unity.
I pray that a dream is meant to be
That someday you say the same to me.
Yet until then I will be nearby
My pen shall write to thee
But do I dare say, "I care for thee."
Or risk it all and say
"I love thee as you are"
Risking what I have for thee.

Ode to the Governor

by

Warren Curle

I long for a woman I can't have,
She is a woman who dances in my dreams,
She is a woman I always think of,
She is a woman I want to
She is a woman I dream of makinįő ņ– g love to,
She is a woman I'd long to grow old with,
She is a woman I want to share my life,
She is a woman I'm forbidden to have,
She is the woman;I wish the State would free
She is the woman I cannot hide away with,
She is a woman that I must meet Between wire and steel
She is the woman I cannot sneak a kiss,
She is the woman listed by a coded number,
She is a woman;I pray the State will forgive,
She is a queen in the tower of our despair,
that knows how to love me,
Please oh please, Governor do let her go!

We Once Were

by

Warren Curle

We once were
The best of friends
We once were
Two Peas in a pod
We was were
The Stars in a moonlite night

I once was
Caring & Free
I once was
Loved by thee

We have become
Ships that pass in the night
We have become
Awkward souls in search of the light

I have become
A giver of pain
I have become
A living pain

We once were
More then Husband and wife
We once were
More then Lovers in the night

I have become
My own nightmare realized
I have become
Dead in my spirit

We once were
More then Husband and wife
We once were
More then Lovers in the night

I AM Now
Unworthy of Love
I am Now
Beyond my redemption
I am now
Searching for death.

Secrets held Tight

by

Warren Curle

I long ago dreamed of you in the night
I know this timing is not right.
It is time for the truth to be free
Though I know Iíll never be on my knee

You were my first crush
But; our years were in such a rush.
I wanted to make you my morning light
Also holding you gentle, yet tight.

I just thought you should know
Now I know I should blow
You were the best
You are still way above most of the rest

So here is a good bye kiss
That I never had a chance to miss
My mind is now at rest
Know that you know I believe you are the best.

COLOURS OF WAR

by

Warren Curle

RED IS the colour of the Blood you spilled;
Look closely at tossed you killed
BLUE IS the colour for a loverís tears
That will last for many years
GREY IS for the colour of Tombs
Where the familyís anger looms
BLACK is for the colour of death.
Revenge is a but sure Bet.

Little Things you do

by

Warren Curle

All the little things you do
Often makes me shake
But I always turn to you
In the end
it always brings on a smile.
Always running here nor there
Often causes me to stop
and ponder
But in the end
Is all part of
what makes you, you!
To say you have a quirk or two
Makes you that adorable you.

When we meet.

by

Warren Curle

When the warmth of your hand touches mine,
I truly know peace.
When the warmth of your body moves to mine,
I truly feel your loves' embrace.
When my arm melts around you,
I truly feel our strength meet.
When my hands seek to explore,
I truly feel your heart beat.
When your breathe touches mine,
I truly feel our spirits speak.
When your eyes meet mine
I truly feel our souls' leap.
When our love meets,
I thank God I am alive.
When we hold hands in the park,
I thank God he let us meet.

A friend like you

by

Warren Curle

In my life I need someone like you
and I think you do too
Someone to share
Someone to care

In my life I need someone like you
and I know you do too
Someone to wipe the tears
Someone to laugh and cry through all the years

Never or Ever to Be

by

Warren Curle

I RAISE my glass to thee
I bow and look to thee
That we might someday be

But that day will never be
Oh yes it is hard to believe
Time and places and another be
Maybe we are all just deceived

Maybe we will awake
To a loverís embrace
Finding it has always been.

I will arise but fall back to thee
To the warmth of your being
Knowing my Goddess has
Always been.

Straight to a Lie

by

Warren Curle

Can anyone draw a straighter line
Truly wish I could find the time
The shake in my hands grow more each day
But they tell me age makes it that way
Nothing now every seems to fit
My eyes always make me shift
Is this how it all begins to die
or is it an eternal LIE!

The TIME WILL COME

by

Warren Curle

The time will come, when you weep for me
Just as my tears have fallen for you
The time will come, when you cry out for me
But I shall never come
The time will come, when your heart aches for me
But I shall be forever gone
