Machines with Long Memories

by

Dr. James A. Crowder

When machines rock, and do the wild organic.
Addressing fading memories, long past;
Whose purpose once known.

When machines rock, and sing the white fandango.
Singing their songs unto the ether;
Whose destinations once known.

When machines rock, and reach for river Jordan.
Churning their insides and answers hence forthcoming;
Whose questions once known.

They dance in sorrow only to serve ...
But whom?
Now that only dust remains.
