Goodnight, Love

by

Kord Crawford

Every night when we rerire
We lay in bed and I admire
The one who sets my soul on fire
A way she'll never know.
I always focus on each touch
She gives me
Each one means so much
They let me know she loves me
And she'll never let me go.
In the sheets she'll toss and turn
And wait for sleep, the candles burn
Out slowly
As she holds me tight
I thank my lucky stars above.
As I think about my day
My baby slowly fades away
I steal a kiss, and say "I love you"
She says "Goodnight, Love."
