Depression

by

Cowboy Bob

The Earth is in turmoil,
My life begins to spoil.
So many things I've taken advantage of,
So many things I've wasted, except love.
The one thing I've always taken seriously,
Has never seemed to work out for me.
Everything seems meaningless; without value;
without you!
You give me a foundation which I can stand upon,
Your words split the night and allow me to
see the morning dawn.
My world is penitrated by brief stabs of light,
But I'm afraid I've already lost this fight.
If only it were possible, to my world I'd hand
you the crown,
I gain hope once again, but alas, only to be
pulled back down.
I reach the end only to find that I've come
too late,
Unknowing, this was forever to be my fate.
