when the breeze blows softly through the trees to gently caress your cheek
as your flaxen hair dances like an innocent child with no worries at all
I admire from a far off place all the beauty you exude as the day unfolds
and the grace from which you exhibit singing like that of a distant songbird's
call

a feeling of intoxication ascends from beneath the earth to toil with my senses
when I merely possess a thought of you even if for the shortest of moments
but with you in view my eyes are transfixed by your mesmerizing presence
as my heart explodes I want you to know that love is everlasting peace

the morning came upon us slowly
gentle as our lingering kiss
her smile invited the warmth to stay
and her eyes reflected the love I felt
the moment seemed to last a lifetime
one entity composed of two entwined souls
I knew that it was something special
by the way my heart just opened up
we were mere strangers to the outside world
but to us, we knew what mattered
questions can go forever unanswered
when your feelings are mutually shared
thoughts can tantalize the passing days
where differences fade into the horizon
trust is the blanket we sleep under at night
a love so strong even time can't take it away

I outlasted the night once again
Scribbling meaningless words in this book of mine
But I'd rather be sleeping with you

I outlasted the day once again
Scribbling meaningless words in this book of mine
But I'd rather be talking with you

I outlasted the night once again
Scribbling meaningless words in this book of mine
But I'd rather be sleeping with you

I outlasted the day once again
Scribbling meaningless words in this book of mine
But I'd rather be talking with you

The night outlasted me this time
And I'm sleeping with a smile on my face
Because I'm definitely dreaming about you

I met a girl like no other

her hair flows like a waterfall
her eyes are filled with the depth of an ocean
her smile dances with my every emotion
her heart holds me in a loving embrace
her mind nurtures my longing for knowledge
her body is a statue freed from rest
her words nibble at the bottom of my ear
her touch is a fire's warmth on a frigid night
her love is unbounded by all mortal measures

I finally have found the true meaning of love
