One Day In The Fall

by

Margaret Claridge

Although I don't remember the day
They did tell me all.
I was very ill and passed away
One day in the Fall.

I was revived, am now alive
And started my life anew.
I lost some memory, the years went by
And I cherish each day i ensue.

I did not know my age
Nor did my husband I know
I am sure one day, they all say
My love for him will grow.

Although I cant remember this,
And they told me all.
My life was change
and so was thiers
That one day in the Fall.

You Swore You Would Never Leave

by

Margaret Claridge

I'm happy to say you were my friend,
I'd be happy to say it to you.
I cared about you very much,
I'm sorry you had to choose.

There was a time you cared for me,
and the feelings they were mutual.
Whatever it was, we shared a lot,
and our parting was unnatural.

I was happy with you most of the time,
I never thought we'd part,
your friendship was taken from me
by someone with more need.

The games we played,
the time we shared, never hurt a soul,
but now your gone,I was left
with an empty spot in my heart

Love On The Net

by

Margaret Claridge

I've met a few , there's nothing new
they all think thier great.
I'm here to say there is not one
that i would call a Saint.

They try real hard to control your life
and everything you do.
They cause you pain
and break your heart in two.

They cheat and lie
say they would rather die
then hurt you in anyway
But take my word they
just make you cry
thier players, this they cant deny.

One at a time is not enough
they need two on a string
cause when thier found out
and they will no doubt
they still have one in the wing

I've met a few, there's nothing new
So if you give your heart away
Mark my words my dear friends
make sure the trust is there
cause the heartache never ends

He Walks With God

by

Margaret Claridge

Dedicated To Al
(My Beloved Husband)

The holidays are here
and your not my dear,
I dont know how it will be.
But in my heart is where you are
please take away my fear.

Its been a short time
since God took you home,
and now I am by myself,
I have family I know,
but together cant give what you gave,
your unconditional love for me,
what more is there to say.

You took care of me in every way,
I miss you so my love.
no matter what, when or where,
there is no one can compare.

I will always know you loved me
and always will, although its from above.
For you showed me every day
in little ways, the power of your love

Sleep well my dear,
and walk with God,
please keep a watch on me,
I need you more now
that your not here,
please guide where i may trod

A Party Girl With Hope

by

Margaret Claridge

I'm walking in the rain,
with nowhere to go.
How was i to guess that
He would be a no show.

We met at the party ,
and had fun all night.
I should have realised
when he held me tight.
It would be just a fling,
cause that was his thing.

I'm walking in the rain,
and feeling real blue.
there is not one thing,
he said that was true.

I felt all excited when he asked me to dance.
I never thought I'd get a chance at romance.
He made me feel wanted, altho we just met.
How was i to know i'd get caught in his net.

I'm walking in the rain,
and i know where to go.
ill find another party,
and forget my no show.

The Lord Took Me In

by

Margaret Claridge

Well, I found the Lord when I WAS blue
And I know that I'll never lose
HIS love And I like it!
YES MY LORD I DO

I never felt more like praYin' all night
God took my sins, and HE made them right,
OH!LORD I love You!
YES!Lord I love You!

My life seemed bleak..Til' HE showed me HIS son
My dreams were gone ..But now I have someone
There's nothing left for me to do
But love my LORD my whole life through!

Well I am so glad I went to Him
I want you to know, He took me in
and I love HIM Oh! yes I do
NOW I'm not SO blue

We're not to old to learn a lesson".

by

Margaret Claridge

Walking down a lonely street,
as the night was falling.
I heard a very weakened voice
to me it was calling.

I turned towards the sound.
I was filled with fear ,
but what i saw as I aproached
filled my eyes with tears.

An old man sitting on the ground
looked up at me and said
"Thank you sir, I took a spill
But did not bump my head.

As I gently helped him stand
I could not help but notice
he had a bunch of flowers
in his hand he was holding

I asked where he was going
He said" To see my wife,
shes been gone these past few years
and she was my whole life.

After seeing he was fine
and sending him on his way
I started thinking of the words
I had with my wife that day.

I spun around and hurried home
I told my wife what had happened
She said" My dear life is strange,
thank God we're not to old to learn a lesson".
