Possession of Depression

by

Christine

it looms over head like a dark cloud, a thick choking fog, or a heavy rain,
there's almost no escaping it, it follows, it creeps, it stalks.
it seems to bite at you, claws outstretched, eyes glowing from within the darkness, ready to envelope you in its own private hell.
you think you can run, you think you can hold control over it with a chain and a collar, but it wont have it, it controls itself, and you.
it wont let you scream, it wont let you go, it holds you in what seems like a cage, you can see out, you can only see out, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but you cant get away.
it has you where it wants you, you're no longer you, but a possession of depression.
