The sleeping chrysalis

by

Mejame Ejede Charley

What is man?
This question will go on haunting me
Until it will haunt me no more
He's a tomb in which life lies buried
Waiting for the Angel of spring
To come and knock it open
Like mother hen pecking at the egg
Cracking open the tomb for
The baby chick to break out

He's a caterpillar,a creature so unbeautiful
Only fit to crawl along on its belly
Devouring the leaves of trees
Waiting everyday for resurrection
To happen in the grave
When will he rise from the dead?

Man!
Wrap yourself in a cocoon
And emerge a butterfly.

Humanity in search for a place

by

Mejame Ejede Charley

Humanity is still searching for a place
When will it find it sucessfully?
When will it taste joy and peace?
People are in search of this place
In country, house, job, role,Ideal
They go this way and that
Nay, they don't settle anywhere
They're yet to find their place
They're rootless, unhappy.

They need to be planted in a fertile soil
They're like a seed in a barn
Waiting to be sown
Each one of us need to be sown
To be planted in eternal soil.

Tribute to Albert Camus

by

Mejame Ejede Charley

Thereby hangs a tale, the demise of this French Algerian
The Empedocles of the twentieth century
History stands to lose much
The judges of Stockholm were divinely right
To bestow him the highest acolade
The nobel prize for literature.

This artist-interpreter was capable of
Sublime accomplishments;one thing most respectable in him
His right use of the faculty of imagination
He knew how to model and govern his own thoughts
And feelings;he knew how to purify his psyche
Thus imagination becoming to him transparent
And crystal clear;in him the imagination and vision are one
He used his imagination to resuscitate, build up his own
Strength and qualities to achieve something divine
For the entire humanity, imagining that all over the world
Men,women become good,intelligent,honest and beautiful
That joy and plenty reign everywhere
Thus we have as testimony 'La peste','L'homme revolté'
And God knows not what;he leads imagination into heavenly
Places;he lets it contemplate those worlds of beauty
That it may reflect them

Like a clinician,he diagnosed the human condition
He saw in it a mediocre grammar, anarchy, egoism, chaos
Mankind thus heading for disaster
He saw in anarchy and rebellion ignorance
To help humanity free itself from this morass
He created an elevated state of consciousness
In this no one is hypnotized, bewitched
Everybody free, lucid and independent
Quoad manus in a spirit of collective harmony
Where the stomach must not content to digest for its
Own benefit, the heart to beat for itself,
The lungs to breath for themselves alone
Nor the legs, the eyes, the ears nor the brain working for
Themselves alone;all must work for the whole.

Camus taught man to tune in to others
That symphony prevails in the world
That everyone vibrates to the rhythm of universal harmony
To build his house on a rock
He enjoins man for a self inner transformation
This being the sine qua non for peace, happiness and freedom
'La pierre qui pousse','je me revolte donc nous sommes'
Someone who establishes peace within himself
Only he who is working for peace in the world
The wars we see on the outside
Are the sequela of those raging within
Camus saw in men the gods
These gods are buried somewhere inside them
These gods must be brought out into the open
In this led men towards the highest summits
He showed the way that leads to their original country
He showed the direction, the path
Those who understand will make the decision at once
They get down on their knees and thank
They're given the answers to all their problems
Also the methods to help solve them
They cannot fail, they will become happier and happier
This is an artist par excellence
He created the art of a new culture
It is dawning in the world.

En quête de la puissance

by

Mejame Ejede Charley

Camus, Schopenhauer, mes maitre à penser temoignez moi

The Sacred books

by

Mejame Ejede Charley

The sacred books, the old and new Testaments
Have remained foreign to my mind
I respect them,I venerate them
Always convinced the Bible is divinely inspired
These texts written so long ago
Don't correspond to my mentality

I've been asking myself as to why so?
Could it be that the founders of these
Great religions of the past, the metaphysics of the people
Were addressing a certain era?

It's clear to me some truths are valid forever
Nay they're not adapted to our present day mentality
A literal interpretation of these texts
Only renders them incomprehensible
Sometimes I'm even shocked

Our religions are dead, the people's metaphysics' dead
God is dead, the evolution of mentalities' ignored
Does God not desire this evolution?
Tell me no and he's dead.

Quelle tragédies!

by

Mejame Ejede Charley

Woman are you the naked truth?

by

Mejame Ejede Charley

Woman, contrary to man
You've the need to show yourself in the nude
Man likes to see you that way
And you like to be seen that way
Because truth likes to be seen in all its nakedness

Nay woman you don't identify yourself to truth
If you did so there will be nothing wrong
In showing yourself in the nude
You've not identified yoursel to truth
So be dressed in the presence of other people.

It's not from vice that you want to be seen in the nude
It's your nature, and there's nothing wrong in it
Evil came later, when you how weak man was
He was easily bowled over by your nudity
You thought you could turn this your advantage

Now you use your charms to dominate him
You use it exploit,to revenge yourself on him
It's not your natural impulse to show yourself
But the use you make of nudity.

Woman what are you doing?

by

Mejame Ejede Charley

Woman what are you doing?
You say you're marrying a man
Younger than yourself?
You're inviting unhappiness.

Do you know your body?
I guess not
Love a mature man
For nature enjoins you so to do
As a man he doesn't change physically
As quickly as you do

If you're unwise as to take a husband
Younger than yourself
Woman sooner or later
The young man you're clinging to
Will neglect you;he'll start
Hunting for more tempting game
You'll be in a continual state of torment
I'm saying and will still say this.

In search for purity

by

Mejame Ejede Charley

Jesus' every now and then
Captures my meditation
Such that I long constantly for purity
Not religions that piety thinks in sexuality

Jesus tell me,what is in the meaning in your caption
'Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God'?
Go to the self-styled men of God and you'll
Hear a story so different

I seek purity in every area of life
I seek purity in my intellect, then I understand
I want purity in my will, then I'm powerful
I want purity in my body then I'm healthy
Purity should reign in my heart and soul
Then I'm foresighted
Nudists,your project then is insufficient.

The glorified love

by

Mejame Ejede Charley

So goes my mediation
Every day we prepare our food and eat it
Nay we don't eat everything
We sort out what's edible
And what's not;whether we
Prepare fish,cheese,vegetables or fruit
We always have to wash or throw
The dirty and indigestible parts.

We're told by thinkers
Man is more highly evolved than the animals
He sorts his food whereas animals
He sorts his food whereas animals don't
Nay Mr and Misses thinkers
Kindly tell me why when it comes thoughts and feelings
This man never sorts or sifts anything
Why does he swallow whatever comes his way
Why does he allow all kinds of poisonous elements
To enter his heart and mind?
Why does he not start by cleaning the food before eating?

Lovers embrace, but don't think what they're going to eat.
Failing so to do,their consciousness is incapable
Of recognizing ,eliminating the seeds
Of disease and death that slip into
A stupid, inferior kind of love
A love in which there's no consciousness
No control, no light
This' the love that everyone aclaims
Praises and glorifies;no one knows
Any other kind of love, mention it
Fools will look at you and wonder
If you've not gone mad.

La vie de 'épi de blé

by

Mejame Ejede Charley

Nolobabalolaria

by

Mejame Ejede Charley

This malady, nolubabalolaria,is the symptom of my
Superficiality;I plunged my hands into a bag full of snakes
Lizards,mice,crocodiles and doves
I failed to select a dove
I was instead bitten by a snake
I had faith in providence, nay it wasn't to watch over my
Blindness;it left me to my destiny

I will hence do only what pleases providence
Finding one with whom to see eye to eye
I will never try again with my lover
For a crocodile doesn't change its crocodilitude
Nor a viper its vipritude;I've known what she is
Want of loyalty,full of stupity,moodiness
Want of stability;I even feared to show her to my friends
Before marriage is the time to learn
To learn to make it successful
Thus I don't need doctors,lawyers,books,psychologists
And God knows not what.

The rational and the irrational man

by

Mejame Ejede Charley

The rational man goes spare
Against the irrational man
The irrational man still holds on to his beliefs
After the materialism, scientism of Mr.Modern Time
More and more irrational men
Turn to religion,spirituality ,mysticism
Nay they take confused and nonsensical forms
Religious authorities are disturbed by it
They are overtaken, they cannot control it
The faithfuls are extending the dominationof the church
Scientists and their philosophies of 'isms'
Have left people hungry and thirsty

You philosophers of 'isms'
You politicians of the spiritual world
Stop whinging about what you create
Answer to the real needs of souls and spirits!
