The Lethargic waters

by

Mejame Ejede Charley

The Spring has refused to flow,
Flowers and trees are yet to begin to grow,
The birds have not yet begun to sing,
Only wastelands and deserts,
My God which world is this?;I see only
Deserts, millions of walking deserts,
They're in a state of distress,
They feel emptiness,they're intelligent,
Nay, their springs have ran dry,
There's a sorry fate in store for them,
They're in a vacuum, a desert,
They've accumulated much filth,
Their spring has ran dry, they don't see it,
They're always criticising others.

Leave others alone,
Look after your own spring,
Open it up, clear away the rubbish,
Water will begin to flow,
That's our essence,
There's no greater truth than this.
