AS I GROW OLDER

by

George A. Campos

o Lord as I grow older...Restrain me from forgetting...Let me not become a pest...Or become one of the dullest...Nor a self-appointed sage...With knowledge of every subject...Let me not dwell on the past...And repetitious details broadcast...Seal my lips uttering aches and pains...and though my memory does not improve...Let me be far less cocky...about other's memory...Let me admit often...I;m wrong or mistaken...And let me not grow old Father...Never old, only older
