They come for diffrent reasons
he comes to overcome
she comes to find peace
I come to shake the numb
feeling in my head
and my screams shake the earth
as I sink to the ground
and lose myself in anothers hurt
the american dream is a joke
It is nothing but pain and sorrow
and suddenly I am back where I started
alone in a desolate sea of asphalt
clinging to my tiny concrete island
and the horns of passing cars are seagulls
so I lay myself down under the street light
and pray for something better than this
