The sky was cloudy,
Not a star was in sight
Only the clouds were seen,
Through the bright street light.
The wind blew her hair,
Her body drenched with rain
The darkness swelled around her,
Like a haunting Cain.
The last shower of rain
Ended the sight of such dreadful pain.
But there she lay
As peaceful as ever.
Through the storms and gales,
She needn't aver.
She is who else but Mother Nature,
Who suffers most from rain to snow
And how appreciated she is?
No one but we would know.
