Did I Dream

by

John Buchanan

I asked myself all day
Did I dream.
At the time it seemed so real,
The stuff of dreams thats sure
But real.
I remembered every aspect in rapturous detail.
The warmth and the taste,
The sounds and the aromas.
You looked like you had an aura around you,
A living breathing angel in my arms.

A tiny eternity passed and you were gone.
And I was left with the memories of you.
But then I asked myself
Did I dream you too?
