Gray Waters

by

Brian

Open eyes for the first time

Staring into shallow waters

Reflections of a dove so white
Now trapped between the shadows
Where once there was a blinding light
Shining from my crystal box

The box in which I kept the dove

>From the outside looking in so radient and beautiful

Yet far away and hard to touch

I tried so hard to open the box

I had to feel the light

Gripping and pulling it slipped my hands into the water

Landing with a gental splash

I watched the ripples spread across the shallow waters and slowly fade....
fade away

Out of the water a gray dove flew
flying farther....
farther away

Until it became one with the Black sunset
