My Keepers Wings

by

Keith Bishop

Keeper of my heart
I miss you more each day.
My spirit longs for union
Believe! My spirit cries. Believe!
Every thought seems to be of you.
Renew my spirit with your touch.
Let me know you love me too.
You are the keeper of my heart.

Would You?

by

Keith Bishop

Would you hold my hand?
Would you speak my name?
Would you touch my cheek?
Would you feel the same?

Would you feel my fears?
Would you share yours too?
Would you let me love you?
Would you? Would you?

Your Beauty

by

Keith Bishop

Some see your beauty as eyes, lips and form
I see beauty of soul and spirit, yours since being born.
Some think time and distance worked to keep us apart
I see a love that transended. Soul to soul. Heart to heart

I miss your smile, your laugh, and your touch.
But it's your essence. Your being, I love so much.
Both gentle, yet firm. At peace, but with fight.
Honest and giving. Seeing beyond sight.

Long ago I thought "This is what should be"
But you walked away. I thought, to set me free.
But you never left. For every effect there is a cause.
It wasn't a break. Just a simple pause.

Hearts still connected. Souls intertwined.
Both looked for other love. A kindred spirit. A like mind.
Neither knowing the tie still remained.
The tie that binds. Our love remained the same.

It's nearly time to fly, my body's weakness is the cause.
But we know it's not a break, Just another pause.
We'll soon have our forever. Side by side. Heart to heart.
Your beauty is your spirit. Just a pause. Never apart.

Glass Doors

by

Keith Bishop

Afraid to miss a single smile. Or miss a tender kiss.
Your voice, your laugh, your spirit.
One moment, One touch, Pure bliss.
Afraid it is one sided. You love, but not this way.
Afraid you'll be disappointed. You'll visit only.
When I want you to stay.

Please don't hide. Not a secret, a fear or mistake.
I'll take the good with the bad. For better or worse.
All others to forsake.
I'm afraid you feel mostly pity. My time it is at hand.
I want to be loved, Not pitied. Held, not held up.
I'm afraid you don't understand.

I can feel doors closed. Thoughts and feelings buried away.
At times you sound angry but won't say it.
I hear words unspoken. Things you don't want to say.
Doors made of glass are still doors.
Unopened they keep us apart.
I can see but not touch. I'm afraid of these doors.
Glass doors, protecting your heart.

Harmony

by

Harmony
In a world filled with pain,
I seek comfort.
A resting place to heal and find hope.
This solace is not found in man made pleasures.
It transcends physical being.
It is peace. It is harmony.
Harmony is defined in many ways.
Musical union. Agreement. Peace and Friendship.
Two separate voices that possess different qualities,
Vastly dissimilar in sound and ability
Yet able to produce something beautiful when joined.
I seek peace. I seek harmony.
A voice to join with mine.
One different in quality and ability,
Yet able to produce something wonderful
When joined with mine.
Should life become hard, we can sing our song.
Your voice with mine.

Peace

Hope
