Wished you'd screamed from a mountaintop
Silent stones and a view
of where the gravel stopped

You did it where there were too many rooms
Too many doors slamming
in that Seattle gloom

And the fog got in those many windows
All of that-- inevitable rain

Toe on Trigger
Goodbye Kurt Cobain

When the Studio was closed
The primal shout
went in, and in, and in
and couldn't get out

Your peircing eyes
knotted,groping ties
Blues called Grunge
Pow, Poof,
the final plunge

Still, Seattle rains.
Toe on Trigger,
Goodbye, Kurt Cobain
