Friends

by

Amanda Beltz

Friends are at soul,
Friends are at heart,
Friends are there,
They never shall part,
You were a friend,
But you always told,
You were a friend,
But you were always cold,
I wish I could tell you what I mean,
But I can't, I won't,
Because you won't be there to hear me.

That would not let you fall,
I know now,
I told you how,
Yet it was you that didn't listen
