He

by

Robyn Beharry

To ask why would be foolish,
For he came and left like the midnight hour.
But with every ray of starlight, the night comes again,
And God's second coming will be over.

A smile that cracked the peace of night,
Brings constant turmoil in its wake.
No sleep comes to a restless mind,
How can so much charm destruction make?

I had lived for half a lifetime
And he was
unknown
a dream
a hope.

I took the right turn one day
And he is
in mind
in life
in faith.

I pray with every paasing day
He will be
with trust
with love
with me.
