Thou Shall...

by

Richard Scott Batchelor

Today,
in the darness of the aftermath,
we pray opoun a light
sought after and almost of sight.

As the future
opens and shuts the day,
throwing away the present,
we cherish the past to better ourselves.

Hoping and praying
for a salvation are we,
destroying and decaying
ourselves are we.

So tired of the ignorence
of others,
only adding to the ignorence
of ones self.

Thou shall not kill or harm...
the rule of the bible,
the failure of mankind.
