Death by Love

by

Stephanie Anne Ball

Please help me, Hon,
It’s coming up quick
Please save me Dear,
I’m slipping down fast
Sweetheart, I need you,
You’re the only one who can save me
This downward spiral is washing over me now
My world is spinning and everything’s getting dark
I can see you in the back of my mind, Love
As you lay there sleeping my world is ending
You’ll find me in the light of the morn
And with dawn’s fragile rays your tears will fall
Knowing all you had to do was love me
But you couldn’t do that, Honey, could you?
The one thing you knew I couldn’t live without
And now I won’t have to, in a few moments
It will all be over just like your love for me
Here it comes, the light at the end of the tunnel
Your final embrace and "I love you"
But they are too late and so are you
