I STOLE YOUR KISS

by

Mohammad Badri

     I PERCEIVED
      YOUR LIPS
     KISSED A ROSE
      LAST NIGHT
    ROSE GENEROUSLY
       PASSED IT
      TO MY LIPS
  AREN'T YOU SO AMAZED?
     HOW CLEVERLY
       I STOLE
      YOUR KISS?

MY HEART

by

Mohammad Badri

I remained unsure!
of mystery behind
the last drink you offered me,
in the middle of night.
Under the gleaming moon,
you caught my heart by surprise,
along with my mind,
that was the melancholy of my heart.
You acted more sophisticated,
than Juliet in Romeo era.
Were you hunting
hearts just for pleasure?
Or, was your innocence
making all the charisma?
But, you persist hosting my heart,
and keeping it as your infinite home.
Why do you intend to reside
in such ruined sanctuary,
which has been the center of disasters
in many occasions?

Precious Gifts

by

Mohammad Badri

friends come to us
from everywhere
feelings are different
from each other

entering slowly
but, departing hasty
some arrive sooner
than we really know

they accrue nearby
to join our show
our lives resemble
targets for the show

we label ourselves
hosts of the show
our hearts recast
playgrounds for the show

some come full of joy
some pack with grieves
many empty hands
few convey precious gifts

many join then leave
some stay in touch
several take us to heaven
few blaze our souls

what they leave behind?
lots of memories
what our hearts conquer?
arrays of foot prints

Stream Of Teardrops

by

Mohammad Badri

CENTER>
Last night
i constructed and decorated
an attractive snow rose
for you, identical to the
one you made me over sandy
beaches of pensacola, florida
during our summer journey
which a vigorous wave
washed away soon
and abolished its sign
of tenderness
however, i placed
the snow rose
in your favorite golden vase
on my desk near our picture
as morning breeze approached
the grief of your absence
vanished away the rose
besides, left the vase filled
with a stream of teardrops

PURE LOVE

by

Mohammad Badri

CENTER>
HOW BEAUTIFUL IS?
WHEN LOVE APPEARS,
FROM BOTH SIDES,
SAME AS;
TWO WAYS STREET.
ALTHOUGH, THE ONE SIDED LOVE,
IS NOTHING BUT A PURE HEADACHE.
EVEN IF ROMEO BEARED,
BLAZING HEART FROM A PURE LOVE.
JULIET ENDURED,
SUPER VOLCANO,
BLASTED ACROSS HER TINY HEART,
ASCENDED FROM PERCEIVED LOVE.

Wild Roses

by

Mohammad Badri

CENTER>
Early in the morning,
I carried bundles of wild Roses,
for you in my arms.
As I passed through the river,
in my way to your home.
Flow of water became so distressing.
My arms lost their grips;
And, so their proficiency.
Roses were lost to flow.
Face of the river turned flamboyant,
for sometime .
I watched the Roses passed me by.
But, if you wish to smell the Roses?
Tonight, rest your face on my arms.

SAN ANTONIO'S PLAZA PARK

by

Mohammad Badri

Sue Ann had the Power
So all the beauty
On my days of loneliness
Attracted to me
She came from Luceville
The core of Kentucky
Like an angle of fire
Blazed my heart suddenly
She was a blonde miss
Sweeter than sugar her kiss
Hair golden than gold
Eyes were bluer than clear sky
Dancing was her profession
Zombie her drink
She sipped all night
Never felt queasy
Besides her beauty
She was very gutsy
No fatigue came her way
Mercy was far from her faith
Challenging her was despair
Inside any dance floor
Contests went her favor
Anywhere in the world
Eyes were after her
She conquered many hearts
We danced many nights
Won many prizes
Champagne and T-shirts
Many other awards
The ball started the site of river
River walk became ashamed
Tower fell to it's knee
St Antonio's Plaza park crushed
Over Sue's charm
Texas seemed puny
For angle to walk
She joined the army
Fort Sam Houston the base
Sergeants had eyes on her
Gi-parties angered her
Discharging was the outcome
Ultimately she departed
She wasn't born for force
Left and left sweet memories
From that rainy night
Heaven turned to officer's club
Hosted our first rendezvous
Last date was sorrowful
Her mind was made up
She walked over my heart
Pulled it to Luceville
Buried it so softly
In countryside of Kentucky!

Poetic Review of "THE CULT OF INFORMATION of Theodore Roszak"

by

Mohammad Badri

Fasten your seatbelts friends . . . it’s about time . . .!
World is cruising beyond the light . . . . .
The conqueror is information age, destination unknown . . . . .
Through this journey pursue Roszak’s guidance and hold tight.
Roszak sincerely whispered it all . . . . . . .
Wished data merchants allowed his message to soak in.
Roszak thinks information technology is extremely dynamic to contain,
It seems absolutely terrifying to maintain.
Summer was uneasy as a quick term,
Climate was frenzied by ENRON scandals,
WorldCom scam and forest fires by ailing minds.
Thankfully there were prizes, events and promotions.
Exciting technology based expedition,
Led by Dr. Surry’s valuable instruction,
On famous topic, "The Cult of Information,"
Roszak’s shocking ray off Technology Ocean
Offers clues with inside information,
Disclosing his non-technophobic notion.
Roszak notes "UNIVAC" as first computer with controversial issues.
He comments about Altair, first built-up personal computer.
Wiener predicts mankind will be known as "biocomputer,"
Giving humanization of cybernetic machine in addition.
Roszak refers to Micro Man "A new species,"
But in comparison to man, he says computer intelligence stays alien.
Roszak skillfully covered the revolution from industry to information
Which collectively touched our generation.
He examines the issues of presidential nominees
Fever of polling with politically motivated predictions
Which gave CBS its role in UNIVAC’s massive operation
What a complex political innovation . . . . !
Roszak evaluated the LUDDITES and their grumbles,
They neither reviled high technology nor computers
Thinking of market packed with countless machines
Has caused joblessness in masses history’s never seen
Wages have shrunk along with boosted technology
Mankind has witnessed the most rigorous storm
A new style of Titanic on the verge of being born
It happen to be labeled information society
Fostered within the information economy.
Roszak thought Government was involved
Along with giant companies close behind
In this dilemma media resembled shell-shielding snails
Their task scored an extremely large share.
The U.S. swayed its strategy unconditionally,
Computer classes became mandatory nationally.
Efforts were made to give computer educational identity,
But computers brought to schools waves of corporate opportunities.
Roszak questions the gap formed by technology,
Among poor and rich schools in our society.
Use and misuse, trial and error reached to infinity.
Conservatives were the best supporters,
Bucks were the targets of lobby masters.
He said products made solely for troops,
Were sold to civil-merchants, turnover was good.
Made Roszak anxious to futurologists, hackers and hucksters,
With their misleading and false hypotheses.
He expresses so loud . . . . . computers were good,
Not so much for processing, but keeping record.
Roszak gave educators a wise literacy suggestion:
He said, students need little computer, but
Preserving independence of thought is more vital.
Roszak sees fear in some teacher’s faces,
Computers may soon take their places.
He says the computer’s "mature technology"
Is creating more problem than it solving.
He defined the aspect of generalization,
Clarified the distinction between terms of idea and information.
Roszak warns educators idea and information should not be confusing,
It will be hazardous for our future generation.
Idea produces information and originates from the mind
He supposed information is nothing of the kind.
Roszak’s believes in actuality of links and interaction,
Among data, information, and knowledge communication:
Lacking data there is no reality for information
Without information knowledge possesses no foundation
Without knowledge Roszak glimpses no operation.
Roszak appears hungry for healthy information,
He thinks quality is mind cherishing when it comes to information,
Both economically and strategically through his imagination.
Between facts and ideas, he detects a feasible connection.
When an idea has proven its mastery,
Becoming principle information cannot sway.
Master ideas are known as human mind he says,
The core of idea in heart of culture remains.
He argued the secret of cultural survival
Its ideas strengthen, gives it stability and power
Machines by contrast are information stores.
Roszak thinks the world is in right track of cultural evolution
Informational technology resides in the heart of this expansion.
Distinction required for machine functioning
Miracles could occur when mind is thinking,
Although mind’s true size remains perplexing.
He declares crisis when content comes before means
As the message materializes prior to the medium.
Nabokov wrote "A Passer by Whistles" Poem,
Analogous to a gleam glorifies Roszak’s positions.
Roszak stresses, Yuhara’s concept of eternal communication
Says human supersensory power, makes magnetic connections
Ultimate modem links to computer, create eternal associations
The human psyche joins the universal web of telecommunication.
Roszak argues computing machines are being unfair,
Oversimplifying scale of human mind’s working affair.
He says as machine merely stores given information,
Men creates machines, mind designs conclusions.
"Computers never make mistakes" is very misleading,
To us this Artificial Intelligence is dehumanizing.
He supposed learned division in Utopian vision,
Reversionary wished away industrial back to agrarian days,
Technophiles hoped for planet, technically super updating.
Referring to blue book Roszak says when data become infinite,
And when bi-monthly data altered information, called it data glut.
For Roszak policy is established by a set of facts,
But in computer world policies fabricate the facts,
And computers being used against people not for them he says.
Roszak honored two great guardians of literacy,
Teachers and librarians throughout the centuries.
Roszak states, what do librarians offer to data or idea seekers?
"Something that no machine will ever offer a living mind, a human presence."
Warning the creation of virtual libraries,
Will become a threat to our physical libraries.
He challenged the NREN’s idea of too far exploration,
As they wish for the public online accessing gain.
He worries about junk piles on the information highway,
However Roszak prays the institution of online communication,
Which helps raising local issues and current events discussion.
He fears "STAR WARS" complication /implementation,
A costly defense system free of human supervision.
Surpass cold war, world is not safe from nuclear danger
Global efforts have need of combating terror.
Author worries about high-tech, what comes then?
Future role of this huge monster created by men,
Official use or private sectors, imperils public privacy,
Unlawful surveillance by manipulating high technology.
Put at risk nation’s fundamental civil liberty,
In name of prevention Roszak says or national security.
Global harm to eco-system by environmental pollution.
He predicts one day the most sophisticated machine
Will make an effort to replace human brain!
Our dependency is imminent to computing scheme,
In case of disaster or failure of out dated System,
It will affect us socially the computer revolution.
To avoid harsh consequences and massive catastrophe,
Saving our planet and lives of precious inhabitants,
Today our world needs to modify its technological agenda,
Perhaps it will be too late if deferred it until tomorrow.
Instructional Design and Development has long been exposed,
To the cult of information and logical procedures,
Also emphasis on façade of ethical neutrality,
Which is driving information age by social implication of technology,
Makes Roszak’s book precious to IDD professionals,
Since it corresponds to industrial revolution significantly.

A kiss So Far. . !

by

Mohammad Badri

I dreamed of sunshine
She exposed her face
I aspired a rose bud
She flourished her lips
I referred to a blue ocean
She twinkled her eyes
I admired a blooming rose
She flashed her smile
I wished a sense of tenderness
She held me in her arms
I prayed a rose-garden of silk
She bounced her hair so much
I probed the beauty of art
She proposed her charm
I prophesied the warmest place in globe
She symbolized her heart
I begged for the sweetest thing
She granted me a kiss so far!

Christmas Day

by

Mohammad Badri

OH! dear stranger;
Away from you
I am unable to distinguish,
Days from nights,
Nights from days.
But, if you ever honor my love;
So become part of my life.
Each day for me
Will turn to
A Christmas Day.

CRYING WOLF!

by

Mohammad Badri

Once under gleam of blue horizon.
In corner of this puzzling globe . . .!
A con shepherd felt so lonesome
Wished to accumulate lots of capital
Desired an ultimate capability
To keep the villagers under his decree
Throughout the sea, land and sky
He grew up silly in a rich connection
With family’s history full of deception
Power of madness was his tool in any conflict
Single minded individual in terrain of philosophy
God furnished sense of humor to all humankind
In such a God’s gift shepherd was excluded
Greed occupied his mind and so he forgot all about God. .
Failed to remember who he was before?
What he had in mind? Stepped on others to rise
Although, his ambition was very strong
He preached so often, about the great lord
Although, religion was unvalued in his world
In reality laughed at his audiences
For sincere trust on him without inquiring
He was stubborn like a war hog
Coward entity in the face of ground
He was a man of booze
But denying it publicly
What a scavenger was this individual?
For any opportunity he could run miles
He heard one day a hungry wolf
Attacked a sheep in a neighbor’s farm
That gave him a good scenario to follow up
He continued his ultimate bizarre show
Weather was chilly in a winter day
He gave a try and started his new scam
Began screaming . . .Help! . . .Help! . . .Help!
His voice was streaming. . Wolf!. . Wolf!. . Wolf!
Community rushed to his aid entirely
Support reached him absolute from everywhere
Farmers acknowledged his suffering and horror
Money food and clothing
He was then offered a right hand agent
For security of the sheep a watchdog
Food sounded tasty he became a hero
Clothing were appealing to him
Dog turned into a tremendous spy
Covered the shepherd’s filthy pathway
Time was just right for repeating the history
He was aiming high . . . without any delay
Did not want the idea to ever die!
Wishing to become a king and rule earth and sky
Main notion was inspiring him the love of prosperity
In addition some recognition throughout the farm
Time was the dining instance
When public gathered to munch lunch
He was craving for some yummy food
Possibly a few warm jackets and coats
He prearranged slaughtered a sheep
Scratched his legs old fashion way
Torn his slacks very professional
Blamed the damages on harassing wolves
Cried like a wolf!. . help!. . help!. . .
Screamed loud. . help! . . . help! . . .help!. . . Wolf! . . .Wolf! . . .Wolf!
Response wasn’t as quick this time
Some help arrived soon. . some never showed up
Farmers became paranoid by this incident
Community were passionate in treating shepherd’s wound
Called him a champion he interpreted as way success
The Mayor told him:
"You are a brave shepherd and great hero for the community
to save the sheep and put your life in jeopardy"
Shepherd responded:
" I am a man of pride my love goes to farmers, my sheep, my dog, and my God"
He enjoyed his episode worked out so well this time
Future was his he thought could be excessive beneficial
To him those phony efforts
Were future builders of many kinds!!!!!!!
He found many fans by then gathering around him
Offering the farmers support in moments of alarm
Commencing to the public the dangers of wolves
They made the wolf’s strength very huge
Farmers considered lion as chicken to the wolf later on
Shepherd often preached:
"Wolves are taking over our farm I observe
all day long, see them with my eyes"
They could appear small or large capable of jumping high
Like foxes and tigers possibly humans or dogs
Shocked the farmers mad shepherd with his chilling talk
Used the method of exaggeration days and nights
Farmers terrified of their shadows from their behind
Skills were lagged, their crops turned sluggish
They were frightened from their houses to step outside
Shepherd urged the farmers to guard the neighborhood
Not to trust any thing in lights or darks . . .
He was firm with his goal, smart in his game
Eventually, pulled his dirty tricks many times
Farmers became aware from his motives
Mother Nature stunned him one day finally
Coin landed unfavorably in his last game
It wasn’t a joke or a horrifying dream. .
Whole reality was behind the farmers’ scene . . .
Shepherd learned his lesson the hardest possible way
Recalled the Murphy’s Law that stresses:
"What goes around . . .. comes around . . ." loomed to his mind
Time was evening . . .. in way back to farm
Hungry wolves surrounded the shepherd quickly
Whining gave no clue screaming bearded no result
With streaming sound of. . Wolf! . . .Wolf!. . Wolf!. .
Remedy didn’t connote to come!!
Nothing appeared to be helpful
Farmers were no longer shepherd’s fool
Paid no attention to him, in his trap wouldn’t fall
Nobody showed up to rescue the shepherd, sheep, or dog . . .
Dog was the first butchered by those mad wolves
Shepherd vanished next subsequent to dog. .
Wolves ate their banquet in a tranquil atmosphere
This proved the consequences of excessive sham by crook shepherd . . ..

This proved the consequences of excessive sham by crook shepherd . . ..

BAD COMPANY

by

Mohammad Badri

It was waste of time
Some years of my life
Went so fruitless
With bad company

Life's been miserable
Away from pleasure
No sign of affection
No clue of recuperation
Retired me early
With lots of depression
Lived like a dead mate
With bad company

No one witnessed a hell
With a cruel hell-raiser
I ‘ve lived in a hell
I burned nights and days
With bad company

Nagging and nagging
Left me no brain
Created more pain
That affected my heart
So my spirit
With bad company

Never practiced
Whatever she preached
Her decency for me
Was never proved
Story is
Alliance of cat and mouse
With bad company

Too much jealousy
Lots of illiteracy
Turns your gorgeous day
To a shadowy night
With bad company

Pay more curiosity
Don't deceive yourself
Don't fall in a trap
Your life is in risk
With bad company

Trouble Tree!!!

Our life is an asymmetrical path
Contains many obstacles
Each obstacle
Resembles a trouble tree
Full of branches
In order to deal with
A trouble tree
No branch cutting
Ever illuminates
The problem
But eventually increases
The intensity of the tree
Though, it grows huger
Nevertheless, the feasible solution
Could be by discovering
And discarding
The trouble tree's roots

My Shattered Mirror

by

This morning
I look at my face
In a mirror
My face was hidden
Behind numerous wrinkles
First I thought
There was a perplexity
With the mirror
So I smashed the mirror
It was busted in many pieces
I found me a perfect mirror
With a golden frame
Glanced at it
Observed my face repeatedly
Wrinkles were resembled
My shattered mirror

MY UNFINISHED CRUSHING LOVE STORY !

by

Mohammad Badri

As I waited for your
Arrival last night
My heart kept pounding
My stare at the entry
Remained focused
Without your charm
At the same corner
We met before
I shared my love story
With a quiet audience
A butterfly proved
Its honor to love
When it heard the opening
Portion of my love story
It self-cremated in a blaze
The candle burned out
In tearful eyes; died
While demonstrating the commitment
Of true lovers
Whereas, the morning breeze
Approached as the night
Faded away in admiration
Of sincere lovers
However, they all perished
I was left alone!
With my unfinished crushing
Love story

Poetic Review of "THE CULT OF INFORMATION of Theodore Roszak"

by

Mohammad Badri

Fasten your seatbelts my friends . . . it’s about time . . . !
World is cruising beyond the light . . . . .
The conqueror is information age, destination unknown . . . . .
Through this journey pursue Ted’s guidance and hold tight.
Roszak sincerely whispered it all . . . . . . .
Wished data merchants allowed his message to soak in.
Roszak thinks information technology is extremely dynamic to contain,
It seems absolutely terrifying to maintain.
Summer was uneasy as a quick term,
Climate was frenzied by ENRON scandals,
WorldCom scam and forest fires by ailing minds.
Thankfully there were prizes, events and promotions.
Exciting technology based expedition,
Led by Dr. Surry’s valuable instruction,
On famous topic, "The Cult of Information,"
Roszak’s shocking ray off Technology Ocean
Offers clues with inside information,
Disclosing his non-technophobic notion.
Roszak notes "UNIVAC" as first computer with controversial issues.
He comments about Altair, first built-up personal computer.
Wiener predicts mankind will be known as "biocomputer,
" Giving humanization of cybernetic machine in addition.

YOUR EYES ARE TO BLAME

by

Mohammad Badri

You seized my heart so softly
Your eyes are to blame

You portrayed my entity so vigorously
Your vicious heart is to blame

My time is running out so swiftly
Your noxious patience is to blame

Your journey lasted so long
Hopeless prediction of mine is to blame

Tear drops are falling like spring rain
Cold temper of love is to blame

Life's caravan left me behind
Elongation of night is to blame

Destination is altered fore to hind
Checkpoints of life are to blame

My faith lies in your hands ultimately
Harsh verdict of hanging judge is to blame!

Your Kiss Is So Good

by

Mohammad Badri

Your smile is sweet
Innocent is your look
World of elegance
Is alias to you
You carry with you
Love and passionate
Sense of tenderness
Chimes around your soul
Your kiss is so good
Drives me gracious
You are joy's envoy
Stream of happiness
When I hold you tight
Your heart feels my heart
My knees get so weak
Love stays in charge
I perceive myself
Blessed man of the globe
Fantasy turns to truth
Heaven becomes mine
Magic is your touch
Softness is your talk
When you are with me
My spirit flourishes high
Rainbow cover the sky
God awarded me
''Angel'' like you
I am so proud

What Florida Needs? A New Election

by

Mohammad Badri

Christmas is arriving
Uniquely this year
Y2k is blamed
For all the tension
In sunshine state
Voting machines failed
Results were unfair
Election turned to a rage
In sunshine state
The world's top news
Acquired from the South
Tallahassee became
Center of action soon
In sunshine state
Court gave the order
A decisive command
To recount by hand
Valued people's votes
In sunshine state
The hand recounting
Created wondering
Began and despaired
Lasted unfinished
In sunshine state
Gore gained by recount
Bush stayed behind
In sunshine state
Bush and his party
Declared victory
It was premature
Gore is now fighting
In sunshine state
Anxious many voters
Republicans and Democrats
In state of wonder
Wishing to find out
Who is a true winner?
In sunshine state
What Florida needs?
A new election
Some assurances
And honest machines
In sunshine state

Dream Of Golden Castle , , ,

by

Mohammad Badri

Red rose
you presented me within climax of our love
during exciting moments of my life
perished in chilliness of
our misunderstanding.

Campfire of love
we built and maintained together
for sometime
faded away in clouds of
our mistrust.

Premiere picture
of us in a frame loaded with diamonds
being buried in a heavy
dust layers of
our miscommunication.

Dream of a golden castle
along with promising paradise
reverted to an ocean of agony
in shadow of
our misjudgement

My Books

by

Mohammad Badri

they are all over
in my tinny place
they are best friends
i can't say it less
under my pillows
over the beds
on the floors
at the kitchen counters
covering my desk
they stood by me
as other friends left
resemble bridges
link me with past
between me and world
for the challenges ahead
they stay with me
keeping me company
on days of sorrow
so my loneliness
sources of motivation
never let me down
cultivate my behavior
escort me through life
teach me rights from wrongs
never stab me,
insincere from behind
they are such a relief
for any ailing heart
they are packed with joy
force me to smile
before make me cry
grant me support
give me confidence
services are free
they seek no prize

French Kiss

by

Mohammad Badri

Hey angel!
Please!
Don't call it a kiss
Touching my lips
With your lips
Challenge me fairly
Go beyond the limits
Show me some concern
Treat me with passion
Exploit some fashion
What I always miss?
A charming French kiss !!!

Forbidden Island

by

Mohammad Badri

The islanders
convey shocking news
of their suffering
sound of suppressing
gravity of torturing
surrounded the islanders
with secured eyes
they are starving
food is in scarcity
in fact, islanders are
in hunger strikes
they can't talk
with fused lips
forbidden island is
the wealthiest island
of universe
happiness is a crime
compassion is history
people are denied
inhaling fresh air
love is passed away
passion lost hope
writing is a trespassing
pen is; an exterminator
intellectuals are;
subject to succumb
they are massacred
one after another
or preferred their body to deteriorate
in drenching penitentiary
crying is meaning for primacy
ultimate remedy for illness is mortality
ilitrecy is secret for superiority
justice is buried
in mud of innocent blood
prosperity belongs to prison guard
in shadow of religion interpretation
islanders lost their tolerance
so their hopes
whooped to the world
choose to rise
struggle more
although they are
aware of rewards
so the consequences
roads are uneven
freedom is insight
price is so high
timing is just right!

Angels & Roses!

by

Mohammad Badri

Angels are precious
Treat them with passion
Handle them with care
Do not judge them imprecise
Praise them often
Just like roses
Angels are touchy
They speak softly
Charming and lovely
May seem fragile
Grant them support just like roses
Angels are gracious
Full of spirits
Love them as you can
Be friendly with them
Acknowledge their beauty
Just like roses
Angels are "Angels"
Packed with blessing
Fruits from heaven
Be sincere with them
Endure them with honor just like roses

Christmas Day!

by

Mohammad Badri

OH! dear stranger;
Away from you
I am unable to distinguish,
Days from nights,
Nights from days.
But, if you ever honor my love;
So become part of my life.
Each day for me
Will turn to
A Christmas Day.
