Blue do the oceans clash with fields green,
The coastal view compares not with her eyes.
Never averting my own from the scene,
Through every blink, again my heart dies.
Blissful siren's call, though silent, avails;
The mute creature sweetly sings from the sea,
Drawing me in; at this my will fails.
Clouds fill the sky, rain pours by storm's decree.
But flee I cannot, entranced by beauty.
I bear wet, laugh at perfection's despair
"Possess not such gloom, 'tis not your duty:
This sight of sight's to beholder unfair!"
Calm serene ocean once more does appear,
Lapping quietly with green fields near.
