I Lied

by

Jaclyn Archibald

Don't call me when you find out
Nothing lasts forever,
I could have told you that one
When we were still together.
But you just never listened,
It had to be your way.
It never really mattered
What I had to say.

Well I'm not crying over you
I can't cry anymore.
I've done it many times
And now my eyes are sore.
One day I said I'd Love you
Until the day I died
I never would have hurt you,
But now, I guess I lied.
