I wish i was

by

Ali Albulmuti

I wish I was a cloud
Not because it is high
But to hold the rain drops
That you like

I wish I was a rain drop
Not because it falls
But to touch your face
Every time it rains

I wish I was the sun
Not because it shines
But to send the beams
To touch your eyes

I wish I was an ocean
Not because it is wide
But to touch your feet
With every tide

I wish I was a tissue
Not because it is soft
But to hold your tears
You may shed

I wish I was a candle
Not because it's bright
But to be your only friend
In your darkest night

I wish I was the love
Not because it is sweet
But to live in your heart
And hear every beat

But I'm none of those
And I won't be
So would you let me do all that?
While I'm just me
