A tale of corrupt cops in the glamor of Hollywood....when Hollywood was glamorous, that is. Set in the 1950's, L.A. Confidential follows three cops (Kevin Spacey, Russel Crowe and Guy Pearce) investigating a massacre at a local cafe. It starts with just one cop (Guy Pearce) investigating the murder; but the other two are soon pulled in when one begins investigating another murder which is mysteriously linked the "Night Owl Massacre" and the other's partner is identified as one of the mass-murders victims.Set in a time where people took their boats on land and called them cars, when Hollywood wasn't filled with junkies, and every car was filled with a corrupt cop or private investigator...L.A. Confidential is a true masterpiece of cinema. The acting is top-notch, there are plot twists left and right, and there's guns piling up to the ceiling. Yes, L.A. Confidential is the way movies should be.
